  Everything the place was perfect..the owners were the most genuine people I've met in the industry on my visit so far around the states..they were so helpful you honestly couldn't ask for more.. nice quiet surroundings felt like I was at home!.... no seriously guys in 46 and thus hostel was for everyone ..facilities were great and shopping center ... was die leute sagen » just around the corner you were aloud to bring a beer back and sit on the porch awrsomeeere would highly recommend!!! - Couple running it could not have been more helpful; gave lots of info re visiting the Falls, personally collected and took me back to the rather bleak station, explained the house very well, were really friendly without being 'in your face'. Convenient for visiting the Falls.

  The hostel was one of the best I have ever stayed in. The staff were fantastic and from the minute you walked in the door they made you feel welcome and helped with absolutley everything. I arrived after the check in hours, but this was not a problem for them. The location is perfect for the niagra falls and is just a 10 minute walk away.   The hostel made solo traveller feels at ease. It is near the metro station and make the travelling easier. The hostel staff is friendly. Staying in the shared room in the hostel was overall a pleasant experience as this was my first time. It's more economical.

  The staff is very friendly, Nice and helpfull. The place is between two subway lines that take you to the heart of Manhattan in 35min. There is several fastfoods 2 blocks from the Room(close to subway line 4) and also a 24/7 grocery store(close to the subway line D). The neighborhood is ok even when you arive late at night. The owner is a self-made entrepreneur and has been successful with four domiciles just like this one. The neighborhood is absolutely beautiful and a fantastic departure for anyone who has never spent time in the Bronx. You'll pay half-price here compared to anywhere else you might stay in the Bronx.

  very fun place, safe, cool people!!! not far from the subway - Pretty place and very sociable. We had free drinks and BBQ on the roof the night I stayed. Nice mix of people, mostly young.

  Located steps from the Avenue j metro station on the q line which goes right into Times Square, J-Stel is a clean, safe, no-fuss, budget- conscious place to stay in a pleasant leafy neighbourhood. In two minutes from hotel there is a very nice shop with all needed products and a good fridge where you can put the products. The cleening was very good and in the room everything was working. The governance of the hotel was very responsive and helped us with solving all problems we had.

It's not a typical hotel, each room is actually just a very small space of floor which is taken mostly of the bed and just a small cupboard, and the room is separated from the others just by a tiny wall. I guess, I got lucky with good "neighbours", so - This place can only be as good as the people who stay there - the walls between rooms in the sleeping area don't reach the ceiling and every sneeze is audiable to everyone (you can't hear check-in counter or lobby area, as they are in a different room). During my stay, the hotel was fully booked and the guests were backpackers from Canada, us and Europe. All guests were very quiet and considerate of others.
