  from when we got there the reception area was clean and the staff very friendly and helpfull.the rooms are clean well equiped bathroom was clean had a big walk in shower,the bed was comfy and warm asked fro two extra pillows and they where there when we got back.the breakfast was brill really liked the buffet idea,wanted fried eggs not scrabbled a... was die leute sagen » nd the kitchen did them for us no probs.all in all excellent place to stay ideal for shops and visiting a few bars.would recomend hotel and if i go ba - We have stayed at the Wool Merchant's on a number of weekend occasions now and have found it offers very good value for money. The staff are helpful, the rooms very clean and (in our case) spacious with good bathrooms. We haven't eaten in the on site Italian restaurant yet but the breakfast on offer is superb ! We are already booked in for a couple of Saturdays next year on the strength of our previous stays. All in all, great value especially at the price.

  All the staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful, especially Olivia. Our room was delightful with everything you need. Everywhere was kept really clean and tidy.Breakfast was excellent and included in the price, as was additional coffees, etc. Food selection was very good and at reasonable prices. Without doubt we really enjoyed our stay at the Woodman Inn. - Delightful surroundings, a charming building that has been sympathetically and recently restored to a very high standard. The Staff provided an outstanding service, ably supported by an excellent chef. The evening meal was excellent; terrific flavours and superb value for money, as was the breakfast. And if you like a good ale there are plenty to choose from. Very highly recommended.
