  Hambleden village is absolutely beautiful and is just 4 miles from Henley, so is convenient for either the quiet countryside or the more lively atmosphere of town. Will be back some time in the future - We received a warm welcome from Dan and the rest of the staff that we encountered on our one night stay. We booked a classic room and was allocated 'The Pit' which was a very pretty, clean and well presented room. Good pub food in the evening and an excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Highly recommended for some country style R&R!!

All the staff I encountered were friendly & helpful- nothing was too much trouble for them; from Reception staff, Waiting staff at breakfast and staff in The Boathouse. Please pass on my thanks. The food was piping hot, which was much appreciated and the lunch menu was adjusted to meet our personal choices and was all we could wish for. We met some Canadian cousins for the first time and it was a wonderful spot to meet up for lunch on the side of the Thames with them.   I upgraded to a four poster room for a minimum additional charge. The room was warm, comfortable and scrupulously clean. Staff (owner and family) very friendly and helpful. I arrived before the closure of the restaraunt so had an excellent chinese meal. The breakfast was also well prepared and there was a choice.
