  The houseboat is as good if not better than any 5 star hotel! Everything is perfect. Tony is a charming host for whom nothing is too much trouble, The setting is idyllic and everything in the houseboat is beautiful. It was huge and the bathroom was spectacular. Tony is a brave man, cooking wonderful breakfasts in the galley kitchen as guests look on. The fresh - Welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast of a very high standard and cooked to order, again nothing was too much trouble. Rooms of a very good standard especially the largest of the rooms, with great balcony and masses of space. Despite being only the second lot of guests everything went without a hitch and owners were very positive about our suggestions.

  It was wonderful. The place itself was perfect, and it is run by the most accommodating, friendly couple (and their young boy, who proudly showed us to our room). Notably, having always felt imposing in family-run establishments, I found it refreshing to feel such a combination of privacy and service as I experienced at Sentry Mead. Location is wonderful - quiet and peaceful with the lovely uncrowded beach at Totland easily accessible. Easy to get the bus from Yarmouth and to travel round the island. The hotel is extremely comfortable, rooms are spacious and clean, breakfasts are delicious - the best poached eggs ever- and the staff could not be more pleasant and helpful. Definitely the best of the many hotels we have stayed in on the Isle of Wight. W

  Lovely night, it felt as though staying in a friends house. Beautifully comfortable bed, a short walk to cliff tops and a breakfast that kept us going for the rest of the day.   Everything about this little gem of a B & B was fantastic !! It was VERY clean, comfortable and the owners are laid back friendly people. From the excellent breakfast served to your room to the little extras of wine glasses, dinner plates and cutlery to go with the take away menus everything was perfect. We will definately be returning to this beautiful place. - Breakfast on balcony (weather permitting) lovely views. Breakfast very good. Light airy room, comfortable bed plenty of hot water for the deep bath, after doing walks. Good to be able to walk down to restaurants with always the option of getting cab back up steep hills. The Met Tappas Bar was great and the Phileas Fogg Resataurant was excellent if we had been staying another night would def have gone back to try other things on menu.

  The hotel / pub was excellent. We stayed in room 5 which overlooks the sea views. The room was large and had everything you would need for a short stay. We eat both nights in the bar and the food was good at reasonable prices. Breakfast was so good, one of the best we have eaten in the many many stays at hotels throughout the Uk. Well done to all ... was die leute sagen » at the hotel and keep up the good work. The hotel is in Chale very close to Blackgang Chines. If you like to go on walks along the cliffs and come bac - I really liked all of the lovely friendly staff especially the manager she was absolutely lovely and really made us welcome I wished we were staying longer at that point , they were amazing with my daughter and my boyfriends son and great with our dog. Really understanding.

  The hotel was lovely and full of character. Our room was great, very clean and had a lovely view of the water. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast room had another lovely view out to sea. All well maintained. Yarmouth was a lot smaller than thought. But the hotel was great and we would definitely stay here again as long as the car came with us! :) - This hotel is fabulous. Very clean, beautiful linen on super comfy beds, and lots of lovely touches. Big China mugs and a teapot, soft dressing gowns, useful stash of "forgotten to pack" items, iron, mineral water and a little box of mints. I didn't eat breakfast, but others who did said it was very good. My evening meal was excellent although a bit expensive.

And the style of the rooms made it feel special and cosy, at a great price.
