  My stay at the Slieve Donard Hotel was in all a pleasure. The food was fantastic as was the service. The way the swimming pool has been set up couldnt be better with the view over looking the ocean. Breakfast menu was good but..... - We had a few issues with our room but was up-graded the next day and it was excellent. We were met with a friendly welcome smile from all the staff in all areas.

  I attended a black-tie event at the hotel, but the suit hire people included trousers that were far too small!!!! I told the receptionist about my dilemma and it was not long before they miraculasly found a pair of trousers which amazingly fitted perfectly!!! That is what i call service, without their help we could not have attended the event.   I arrived quite late and kitchen as already closed. Still it was possible to have a small bite to eat. The room was in 1 word great and the design of the complete hotel, pub and restaurant is outstanding. Renovation of the old buildings have been done with lot of respect for the age of the buildings without loosing its character. After an exhausting drive Joanne was so friendly and suggested a meal from the restaurant which was delivered to my suite. Delicious. After a day trip to Giant's Causeway it was so great to relax with a glass of wine in my warm and cozy lounge. Will definitely return.
