My room on the 7th floor was wonderful - beautifully and thoughtfully furnishe - Every hotel has it's own personality but share a common set of standards and values... all very high.   If there was an option to give the staff more than a 5 + rating then I would. Thouroughly enjoyed my long weekend here and the staff were remarkably helpful and pleasant. I would hope this gets back to them and they can be commended for this. Lucia was fantastic and if she is not the Duty Manager then she should be ! The staff were super friendly. Because we were kept waiting for a few minutes when we were checking in we were sent to our room with a bottle of champagne. The room was large and bright and decor interesting. Good free wifi - the kitchenette and 2 TVs were an unexpected bonus. (Would love to come back when the strip fire all along the front window of the hotel is alight in the cold weather.)

We were in the area to visit friends and found the location of the hotel ideal. My partner and I usually visit Newcastle up to four times each year and believe we have found the perfect place to stay. Loads of space; good sized bedroom, sitting room with t.v., generous sized bathroom with full sized shower cubicle - as well as full sized bath, and the 4th area in the 'apartment' was a very nice dressing room. It was clean but many areas were 'tired', I think that's the best way to describe them... Staff were friendly and helpful.
