  Very nice coaching inn with a long history and lots of character, a labyrinth of rooms and low beams. Conveniently located in the middle of Crickhowell (obvious once you spot it, but I managed to drive past it twice), with plenty of parking space through the old coach archway. The bed was very comfortable and I had an excellent supper in the bar -... was die leute sagen » it looked to be full at first sight but in fact it extends through several rooms so you should be able to find a table in one of them. - The Bear is a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and the welcome was warm. For an old building, the decoration is spot on and the attention to detail is impressive. We ate in the bar both evenings and had wonderful food. It was busy, but had a nice atmosphere. The breakfasts were very good too. I'd highly recommend to anyone staying in this part of Wales.

  Food service and cleanliness all excellent, could not fault on my visit will be using again. - The leisure centre, small but adequate, staff, Food was outstanding, cooked as it should be. Room was modern and very comfortable, clean and tidy. The quiet location ensures that a good nights rest is almost guaranteed.
