  Lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had an inland double and the room was clean and bright, and warm on such a cold weekend. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was great (although it is over a bath). Even thou we were only there for two nights we felt that we had had a very relaxing time and felt very refreshed. - The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming.   The location is great...right by the sea front and with easy access to the best areas of Brighton's dining and shopping. The old building used to be wine merchants and has a beautiful staircase and reception area. Our accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped...including the feather pillows that we had requested. Found all staff excellent, very friendly and very helpful (recently back from Las Vegas where I stayed in a supposed luxury hotel! everything was the complete opposite too the Hotel du Vin). Both of us wished we had booked that extra day!
