The hotel itself is like something out of a Conan Doyle story - ornate Victoriana and more or less tasteful chintz; a little overpowering at first sight but certainly impressive. The room was very well appointed and catered for all our needs, eg air con, large comfortable bed, plasma screen and very quiet at night. Also a beautiful ensuite. Excellent buffet breakfast and the staff were very efficient and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

This hotel is in an excellent location quite near the main street with shops, bars etc. Also it is beside the bus station which allows you to easily get to Cheshire Oaks outlet park and Chester Zoo.
