  Exterior looked not very appealing, but the newly refurbished room I stayed in was fantastic. I loved the attention to detail and the cleanliness which I really didn't expect. Lovely pub attached to it in an urban area with tesco extra opposite and take aways down the road. I got more than I expected and so was very happy with my stay.   Well appointed and friendly B&B, close to the city. Spacious room, excellent breakfast, friendly owner and staff. An easy walk to the city centre via the main road or canal side. Just a 25 minute drive from The 'model village' of Port Sunlight and only a 10 minute drive from there to Birkenhead and the ferry to Liverpool. The room was peaceful, well appointed and immaculately clean. The breakfast was excellent! Definitely the best place I have stayed in Chester, so look NO further than Lavender Lodge!!
