Das Hotel liegt ziehmlich Zentral. Die Strasse ist auch sehr schön. - I'm very grateful for Mme Elif, she was very proffesional in handling a passport-related situation. The concierge, both Mr Alp and Mr Jim were extremly helpful in providing plans and maps regarding the best in istanbul. Also thankful for Miss Bashak in reception for the upgrades.

Starting with the pros, which are pretty much. The location is great, really near to the old city scenes "Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya, TopKapi, Hippodrome", all of them are at a 5 mins walking distance. Lots of shops and restaurants everywhere.

The hotel staff were the ones that really made our stay memorable. The were caring, funny and tried to help us with all our needs, from getting a change of room due to a faulty air-conditioning unit, to recommending the best kebab shop in the area. They were always around for a friendly chat and made us feel a home.

(without carpet!), good bed and pillow. I was afraid to choose small
hotel when night temperature dropped close to zero but here the room had
modern inverter heat pump air conditioner that was silent and kept room

Just back from Istanbul, where were staying in Mataraci Konak with friends for 4 days. The location is just fabulous, close to all major sites.
Little Haya Sofia is next to the hotel and was nice surprise for us.
Lots of restaurants and cafes around, but the hotel is staying on small quite street, so this doesn’t bother you at all.
Hotel is a nice place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff.

We mentioned in our booking that we were on our honeymoon and he gave us a lovely room and did his best to make the room as romantic as possible (candles, fruit, romantic music). Most of all I liked in Fides Old city hotel was silence. Hotel is very
silent and comfortable.Also there is a small park in front of Fides
Hotel I liked it a lot .It is very closed to Ayasofiya and train. And
you can go to seaside by walking around 10 min. Near the hotel there is
a lot marts and cafes which works almost till the midnight. If you want

Really good price for its location, the personal was absolutely wonderful and treated us as friends from the very beginning.
Even though our card payment somehow didn’t come through to them, which we were never informed of, they kept the room booked for us :)

The hotel was just perfect, as I was traveling on business and my appointments were in Levent, which is just accross the street. There was and parking available for the car, which was a big advantage in this area. The staff is very helpful and especially Hasan, who speeks my own language and was very easy to communicate. The rooms were spacious and clean. No cmplaints at all.
