  It is by far the best place I've stayed in Istanbul. It is ridiculously close to some of the main tourist attractions such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Although it is so close to the centre, the street is quiet and peaceful -and believe me, you will want some peace and quiet in Istanbul!   Since was the first time we visited Istanbul we were looking for a hotel close to the historical center. Altin House hotel was the greatest choice. You can walk to visit the major historical sight-seeings. The rooms of the hotel are clean, comfortable and provides great facilities. It is suitable for any kind of traveler. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent. The neighborhood looked strange at the beginning but afterwards we understood there was nothing to be afraid as it was full of hotels! It's 10-15 minutes walking time from Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque (sultanahmet tram stop). Do not try the cemberlitas tram stop as it is uphill and tiring.

  The view from top floor!!! The sea at one hand, the blue mosque the other. I had no idea that we were THIS close to the mosque, it was literally across the street. The view was just breathtaking, so surreal. The night manager (I think his name was Usman) was a good guide point to various areas and activities. The hotel itself is rather small, just enough room to put your bags and walk to you bed, but it is what you pay for.
