  The hotel staff are very friendly, cheerful, accomodating and helpfull. The hotel atmosphere is cosy and homely. Breakfast is wonderful and the room very clean and cosy. The room has coffee/tea facility but they provide hot water in a flask. Having a small child, I need an electric kettle to make milk at night. My only regret is that was not able to say goodbye an - If you look for a perfectly located hotel with local flair, you will love Djem. We booked a de Luxe room (located on the second floor in the building facing the mosque). Here, the view is magnificent. The owner runs a shop in the nearby art bazaar and all over the hotel and the room you will find beautiful examples of traditional and contemporary Kelim art. Personnel is great and speaks good to excellent English. Of course you hear the Muezzin at night, but that just adds to the oriental charms

  Apart from navigating through narrow uneven streets of Sultanahmet you can't ask anything more than what this hotel can offer. The reception desk was super helpful and informative. The room was very clean, decent sized considering it's in old city with spacious toilet/shower.   It was our second stay in Istanbul, and since we were not very happy with the first one, I was very careful choosing our accommodation. I also enjoyed food and service at their( optimist) cafe .the appartment is clean and tidy. But the most important thing was the owners bahadir and mohamet and their staff especially ikut who were available at any time for any inqiuries or help.
