The hotel is located in a great part of the city(close to Eminonu and the major sights of Istanbul) yet is still quiet at night within the rooms.Really a great location to explore this wonderful city.Hotel felt secure at all times. Thanks to all the staff we met - they were excellent : the most helpful ever,extremely pleasant friendly and welcoming. Wi-Fi is quick. We would recommend this to any friends travelling to Istanbul. As for us,we will return again next year.
Nothing to dislike.
For the price paid, the hotel is very good. Clean, the staff is friendly. But it is a bit noisy around the hotel and cold at night (heater is quite noisy to be turned on at night).

Few choices at breakfast.
The top priority for the hotel is location. Very near to the Metro Tramway Sirkesi Station, about 20m. Eminonu and Gulhane is within walking distance. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel offer good value for money. Breakfast is at the top level overlooking the Goldern Horn.
Small Room. But very adequate if you just want to sleep and packing.
The geographic location is excellent - close to Topkapi and to the metro. Staff service was outstanding, with offers of assistance at all hours. The room was small but clean and just fine for the price. The wifi worked well in the room. Heating in the room was excellent. Breakfast was good and the roof-top restaurant has a charming view of the sea.
The street scape in front of the hotel is less than inspiring: there is a construction site. The room was quite small but fine for the price. The washroom was rather cramped. If you're there for the location and the sights, these are unimportant details especially at such a good price.

Very friendly and helpful staff, on check-in they took the time to sit with us and explain all the different sites in the general vicinity and how to get to them, showed us the locations and method to use transit, gave distances to local attractions and even some advice on how to save money by shopping in different areas away from the general tourist areas. Room was small but very functional, extremely comfortable beds. Breakfast was wonderful each morning with a great view of the Bosphorus strait.

Location Friendly, helpful staff Inexpensive The location is prime. The Gulhane stop is right up the street for Taksim and airport along with Eminonu if you want to go along the Bosphorous. The major sites like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque etc is a short walk as well. Cannot beat the location and the friendly staff will help you guide your way.
Wi-fi in the room didn't work but it worked fine in the lobby. Couldn't transfer calls to the room but that wasn't a huge inconvenience.

maybe the room I had was a little small and the hotel is a little dated and tired but for the price it is definitely value for money.
The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to most of the major sights in Istanbul. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and made sure my stay was comfortable. The breakfast whilst not 5 star in variation, was plentiful and well made. The view from the restaurant was amazing. You don't pay for 5 star, so don't expect 5 star luxury. However, rooms are cleaned every day, and more than comfortable. The location is excellent as most of the sights are within walking distance of the hotel. The atmosphere is friendly. Recommended for families, and solo travellers alike.

The hotel was centrally located, the staff friendly and the room was basic but good for the price in Istanbul. Special thank you to the night reception staff who keep me entertained when waiting for an early morning tour to Gallipolli as well as keeping the airport shuttle at bay when they came 1/2 an hour early and I was in the shower!

Excellent position and price. You can walk to many sights, eg the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Grand and Spice Bazaar. The tram stops are also very conveniently located. Excellent restaurants nearby. Very neat and clean. The staff, especially Mehmet, are jewels. He gave me me a room when I arrived at the hotel, although it was way before occupation time. He also offered breakfast as I had to leave early the next morning. I can recommend this hotel. There's a travel agency just down the street that organised a HoHo bus and other tours for me.
The room and bathroom were small, but it didn't bother me as I only slept there.

The staff was a little indiferent. They are taking a lot of time to take care of you. I paid for a private car to the airport for which I paid very much and the driver was 10 minutes late. The guy at the receptin was very relaxed and did not seem to bother.

The hotel staff was absolutely wonderful, a real pride for the Turkish hospitality. The whole staff members were very helpful for facilitating connections to the airport, providing advices for discovering the city and taking advantage as much as possible of the environment, and as well make discover the treasures of the turkish food. A real hotel to recommend if you wish to stay in a friendly environment, perfectly located for discovering the old city walking.

Single room is small and acces to bathroom is difficult (the cupboard before the door makes it impossible to open the door for more than 50 % )The TV (with prehistoric electricity supply) is just outside that door so if you try to pass through it and you are wet ....
Good location, 10minutes walk to SOPIA or blue mosque. We live there for 3 nights, 2 in triple room, 1in twin room. I think the twin room is better than triple room.

The location of Hurriyet is very good, easy to travel around city. It is just 2 minutes to tram station. The staff is very friendly, and helpful, also the rooms are comfortable. It does definitely worth the price. Recommended!
The staff were very nice and although the room was small it was clean and comfortable. It's also in a good location for accessing sights in Sultanahmet like Topkapi Palace, The Grand Bazaar and Galata Bridge..

In total I have a positive feeling from this hotel. Clean, Good service, good price. In the historic center and close to transport hubs. 5 min walking to bus, sea-bus, trum or railway. Airport shuttle was in time.
I found only only one minus - my room has bad sound protection from terrace above me.
I have arrived early in the morning and they made me well come and very kindly the room was ready by 10.30 am. The location is close to tram line T1 public transport, it is very clean, the breakfast was excellent and it is served on the upper terrace which has a nice view over the Golden Horn. The members of the staff were very polite and kind and helped me with information as I was for the first time in Istanbul. The staff at the time was very kind and polite to me and to all the other around in the hotel as well. I have seen that they were trying to do their best to meet all the needs of the people around. I think that was very nice and impressive.
Situated in the touristic center of Istanbul in walk distance of many of the objectives. It has a terrace rooftop view of the Bosphorus. Although the hotel is small, like many in the center of Istanbul, the rooms were clean and the facilities were adequate. Very friendly staff, kindly helped us with getting around the best parts of the city.
The rooms and bathrooms are quite small. We did not have a problem with it, but they may not be to everyone's liking.
The hotel is in a great location and is characterized by high hygiene and excellent attention from the reception staff, I've had an enjoyable stay and excellent hospitality you feel in your home
