As a couple with young kids, it was an absolute dream staying at Manaar House as it was so kid friendly that our kids did not want to go out because of the toys provided in our section of the house! John and Cathy were fantastic hosts who were always available and offered superb recommendations when our plans were abruptly on hold.
Location is superb, but would advise hiring a car to keep things easy, breakfasts and johns stories are worth the cash alone.
Overall great value, in a great location and we can't wait to return. Jo and I felt at home from the off thanks to John and Cathy.

The owners were very friendly and helpful in telling us about things to see in the area - room was small very clean furnished beautifully and in line with being in the heart of Zulu land. We really enjoyed it totally relaxing lovely pools and braai areas in the courtyard. The breakfast provided was also very nice and set you up for the day I would certainly recomend to friends.

Although its in the city, you don't get to hear to city noise and the views from the hotel are very nice - From arrival to departure, we were made to feel that we were guests and not just people to fill rooms. We would stay there again when next we visit Durban.

When you choose a place via the Internet, you are never too sure of what you may get.... This was a real gem! We were treated like royalty by Victoria, Nothile and Jabu and couldn't have asked for better service. The meals were fantastic ( especially loved the pineapple dish served for breakfast!) and the packed breakfasts enough to last the whole day! Thank you so much. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you.
