The staff were great, just couldn't do enough for you and the hotel
itself is a great mix of the old original house and newly built annex
with lots of facilities, including a bar, jaccuzzi (if the weather
allows), good size pool etc.Breakfast is also of a high standard with an
excellent continental selection as well as choice of hot options. The
breakfast room is a lovely location with comfortable chairs and soothing
background music being played, all getting the day off to a great start.

Our room had extensive views of the sea. Sunsets in particular were to die for.
The location was ideal for us. A great walk along signal hill to the V & A via the noon day gun.
The facilities were outstanding in this boutique style hotel.

I stayed at Mountview for 6 nights and my experience was very positive. Joe sat down with me for 30 minutes on the first day and explained about the tours, local stores, safety and all other questions I had knowing that it was my first time in Cape Town. The hotel was kept clean at all times and I had no troubles by commuting to the hotel alone. Very comfortable, well located. It combines a quiet, "off the beaten path" location with a hotel that was within walking distance of all the best of Cape Town. Very helpful front desk with fantastic assistance in all things. A really great hotel and well worth the price.

transfers and even packed us a breakfast to go the morning we were
leaving since we had an early morning flight. The hotel was spotless
and the breakfasts were fantastic! We love the extra attention we get

fabulous property. To a standard I have rarely seen. Everything you could wish for was in the property. Ground floor flat gets the pool area and decking. Upper floors get the views. The owners were a delight and went out of their way to help in any way they could. -
