The atmosphere was very relaxed, friendly and clean great location Thanks you very much for the pleasant stay. We wished we could stay longer. Just a short walk to the waterfront. Self service complimentary breakfast. secure parking if needed. We were made to feel at home by the owners. We will go back to Knysna just to stay there. -

Everything. Being in the travel industry, I have been to many guest houses, and this one by far is my favourite. Very clean, very comfy, but mostly, very friendly. I will only come back to Herons guest house in the future! -

A very pleasant place to stay. We were in the outside cottage - fairly basic but absolutely adequate. Very bright with white everywhere, giving the place an opportunity to display how spotlessly clean everything was. The owner was the larger than life Tim, a real character. Breakfast was great. The location was superb being only a few minutes drive to Thesen island waterfront or just take a stroll around leisure island. It was idyllic. Tim even had my car washed. Amazing breakfast with fresh fruits and continental option, along with the classic cooked option. Recommend the scrambled eggs. We had the premium room and it was very tastefully furnished, very spacey and comfortable. Nice pool area with honesty bar and wood burner - perfect to sit in front of on a chilly evening with a bottle of wine. The owner Tim is very friendly and helpful.
