  I was showing an older person a good hotel/good food experience for the first time in her life.(she's 80yrs old) She loved every minute including your delightful hotel pool. (we were too tired to get into the hot pools) The food in the restaurant was perfectly cooked. The breakfast was lovely with ample choice. The Club Lounge breakfast was fantastic. The drinks and nibbles in the lounge in the evening were brilliant and a great way to unwind. The host of the Club Lounge is very friendly, offers some fantastic advice for travel in the region and looks after his guests very well. I was very impressed with him.

  Nicely refurbished older hotel. Rooms were spacious, modern & very clean. The hotel has 3 different restaurants plus a bar with a good selection of food, including Japanese. Staff very friendly and helpful. Close 5 min drive to city centre, but accessible for walking too. Lots of families staying due to school holidays, so family friendly. The room we stayed at was absolutely fantastic. Our second stay there, also stayed there last year, wouldn't go anywhere else, recommended to all my family & friends. Best Hotel I've been in! I normally stay at the Ibis's big sister next door, but no more the cost difference does not make it a fair trade. Staying at the Ibis you still have access (for a small fee) to the gym and Spa next door. Location was handy for attractions on the outskirts (we could walk to luge and rainbow springs), although this meant a short drive into town.   The management at the front desk was amazing !! I came to the hotel under not so good circumstances. Needing to stay in Rotorua at short notice because of a loved one in hospital . I booked online but was very tired and the man at the front desk let me and my sister check in early as we we're very tired . To the point where I asked if it we needed to extend our stay it would be possible to which the reply - Loved the deal we got, a studio plus a standard. Loved that the pool was heated, had mini golf tennis and spa's even though the spa's were closed had lots of options for all ages. Very very clean rooms. We also had the option of having another teenager stay for minimum cost. Excellent place to stay.
