  Comfortable room with plenty of facilities/space. Staff were friendly, helpful and gave us lots of information. Aloha is in a good situation for the bay of islands, Russell, Waitangi etc. You can get a tour to 90 mile beach from Paihia, although we drove and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Good restaurants in town - about a ten minute walk.   We stayed four nights in March 2013 and needed the break after being robbed in Auckland. Jan and Kevin were unobtrusive but always there with help or information when we needed it.   We loved the location as was quiet even tho just off a main road and could hear the falls. Loved the deck area, BBQ option and the fact that all rooms faced the river and falls. We would highly recommend it especially for families. - The staff were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. We originally booked a studio apartment but found it to be too small for a party of 3 adults so we moved to a 2 bedroom apartment and while it was the only one without a view we were very happy with it as it was very spacious and we were going to be out most of the day anyway. The location is excellent (only a short drive into Paihia) and the area around the motel is beautiful and well kept.
