  My room on 1st floor (6) was airy, clean, bright and nicely-decorated. Good air conditioning, pleasant (if slightly cramped) bathroom and shower. The building is well-maintained and characterful, with a very relaxed feel, and the staff are helpful and speak good English.   We found one of the reception-foyer staff so helpful. He carried our four cases to our 3 separate rooms; helped me park and exit my large car in the small hotel garage;advised us on shopping and places of interest;arranged a surprise taxi tour of Tangier and surrounding area, all without holding his hand out for payment. Tasty dinners. - Mustafa at front desk was incredibly helpful overall, especially re: my luggage which didn't arrive on my flight into Casblanca before we took train to Tangier. He helped suggest where to buy some clothes, helped with phone calls to the airlines and shared other tips to help. The location made our daily walks to the Medina and other highlights easy, and the room was very comfortable at a great price.

No problem and upgraded us immediately to a suite and moved all of our baggage. Fine food at a good price, the best food we had in Asillah. If you are looking to buy something in particular, ask Rachid at the hotel; he was very helpful and actually took us shopping. Gilles, the owner very welcoming too. Would definitely go back.
