The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful, the room well appointed if a bit on the small side, the hotel itself charming, and the food, though a trifle expensive, was amazing and beautifully served. This hotel is a superb base from which to visit the Loire and many of its chateaux. - The room was large, particularly for France, and very well appointed. The staff were attentive, friendly, helpful and spoke excellent english. Unfortunately I only had time to have 1 dinner at the restaurant and it was magnificent - worthy of the visit by itself. The breakfasts were sumptuous too, especially the option of a cooked breakfast rather than the staples of bread, meats and cheese.

  A delightful experience all round. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. We had a garden view room which was wonderful with a comfy canopy bed. Yes it would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in room (see other reports), but it's available on room service and they were happy to provide us with a kettle. There are lovely countryside views - Just returned from a wonderful stay at this delightful Logis, located in beautiful countryside yet within ten minutes of towns and chateaux. The garden rooms are spacious and comfortable and the pool and tennis court immaculately maintained. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Excellent food is served in a very inviting room and I'm already looking forward to returning.

All the concerns for our small boy (renting the arm tube for swimming and high chair for dinner & breakfast) made our vacation more comfortable. The food was excellent, although the menu was limited and didn't change for the three nights we were there. Tours is a very upmarket and cosmopolitan area with lots of historical sites.   Delphine was a really lovely hostess. Very genuine and easy going. Fantastic location if a quiet retreat is what you are after. A car is a must.   Wow!! The property is next to the river Loire and easy to find. On arrival we were met by the lovely friendly couple who own the Chambres dHotes working on their part of the caves. The place is stunning. Our room was at the back of the caves with a 4 poster bed and spa shower. When we turned the lights off to go to sleep it was black and silent. The breakfast was good and when the owners came back from an evening out they gave - Spending the night in a cave that feel modern and has a swimming pool is great! The owner is very welcoming. You feel like you are staying at a friend's home. The yard is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. You can bring a picnic with you. We were able to use the refrigerator. There is a large TV and leather sofa in the common area. The rooms are cozy and well decorated. The shower is nice also. The breakfast was good. Convienient location for seeing Amboise and nearby chateaux.
