  Perfect location on the main street of Aix-en-Provence, above an excellent restaurant. Huge clawfoot soaking tub and separate shower, big fluffy towels, very comfy bed. Valet car parking service was great. Easy walking distance to everything. Staff were friendly & helpful. We would absolutely stay there again. - We travelled on the Eurostar for our first time in Aix-en-Provence. The hotel is really a restaurant with rooms but no less comfortable for that. Our room was right at the front and so a bit noisy on the Saturday night but the staff moved us to a lovely ground floor apartment at the back of the hotel for the remainder of our stay. The staff themselves were fantastic, the room(s) had everything you wanted, and a very good restaurant just downstairs! We will go back.

  We LOVED this accommodation. We had a deluxe double room with a balcony overlooking the garden. The building was a grand old house and the room enormous and filled with traditional character and had a smart modern bathroom. Walking to town, and then returning to a tranquil environment, only thing missing would be a pool in the summer! I would recommend this place to anyone.

I asked for some hot water to make myself a tea on a couple of occasions and my request wasn't refused, which is often the case in the hotels with only two stars. There was also no problem with having our luggage stored once we checked out in the morning. The room had a little terrace with a lovely view. I wouldn't recommend taking a cheaper room with the view onto the road...

Aix is a vibrant destination, with a range of facilities and attractions from the Cezanne trail, to country walking around Mont Sainte-Victoire, and of course lots of shops including a vibrant market several days a week. Marseille is a half-hour train ride away, and we took the bus to the beautiful beach at Cassis.
