  Lovely pousada in a great location. Felt like we were staying at a friends home. Very large and comfortable room, comfortable bed, great breakfast with friendly service. The owner is very warm and helpful. Paraty is very interesting and atmospheric. They were also able to check us in early and allowed a late checkout, which was fantastic for our rather hectic travel schedule.   Pousada is positioned right in the historic center, staff is very welcoming and service is excellent. Special thanks for Madalena and Danilo that did everything to enjoy our stay in Paraty.   We had a lovely stay in this pousada. The owner speaks very good French and proved very friendly. The place is just beautiful with small bungalows, plants and a very nice relaxing area with a swimming pool, a reading place and where you have breakfast. Breakfast is quite good and with a lovely view on the garden. They even have parking - Our pousada (or guest house) was beautiful. At first we were a bit worried as the cab dropped us off down this dark street that looked a bit scary -- but then when we open the door to the pousada it was an amazing oasis of lush vegetation, orchids, squirrel monkeys and humming birds. It was almost like a small village with lots of buildings for breakfast, TV rooms, pool and sitting areas. The owners had a wonderful collection of paintings, sculptures and lots of folk art.
