I loved the seclusion of the location. It was truly a "walk in the woods" and great place to explore on the bicycles that were provided. The breakfasts were plentiful and beautifully presented with fine china. It was the highlight of my day to enjoy a leisurely morning on the veranda. Flo was a very accommodating hostess!.
The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We spent a lot of peaceful time on the verandah, viewing wildlife and using very high speed wifi. The decor may not be to all tastes, it is unique so if you don't like the photos online, don't go. We loved its quirkiness!.

This large, gorgeous place is on beautiful grounds and the interior has been decorated to museum standards. It's worth staying there just to wander around the house, stare at the deer grazing on the lawn, and marvel at the over-the-top decoration.
We felt very much welcomed at A Walk in the Woods! The breakfasts were delicious, with surprises. The room and bath were very comfortable. We loved the porch as a space for quiet morning coffee. And we loved to see the deer!.
An absolutely beautiful home in a gorgeous setting! It was so cozy and comfortable and the owners were wonderful. The breakfast was delicious. This experience far exceeded our expectations. We look forward to going back!.
Flo was a very gracious host. Breakfast was delicious every morning. The grounds and house are very well maintained. We were able to bike, walk and drive to various locations. Very serene surroundings.
Excellent accommodation and Flo was lovely. It really felt like a touch of luxury in the most peaceful of settings .. even the deer seemed happy as they walked across the lawn!.
Lovely, Comfy, Warm feeling...Flo and Russ are way cool.
Breakfast was a bit hit and miss with what was provided. Some days great with omelette and sweet things, others just with lots of sweet things, not to our taste.
It's close to perfection!.
It was a little difficult to find.
We liked everything but didn't have a car (booked last minute and came up by train) so would recommend you factor that in as it's four miles out of town.
