Offering free Wi-Fi in every room, this Bloomington resort is just off the shores of Monroe Lake and adjacent to the Fairfax State Recreation Area. A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily. A flat-screen TV is included in every room at Fourwinds Resort and Marina. Guests can enjoy scenic views from their private walk-out patios or balconies. All rooms come equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator. Guests can relax on the lakeside beach or work up a sweat in the on-site fitness centre and outdoor tennis courts. A fleet of watercrafts, from jet-skis to large party boats, are available for rent on the property. Guests can swim in either the indoor or outdoor pool at Resort and Marina Fourwinds. Windjammer Lounge, located on the property, serves cocktails and food daily. Live entertainment is offered each weekend. Tradewinds Dining Room serves a daily breakfast, and dinner each weekend evening. Bloomington City Centre and Indiana University are less than 12 miles from this resort. Oliver Winery is 30 minutes’ drive away.

Booking on line can be disappointing, but not in this case. What a beautiful place. We were visiting family and friends and would not hesitate to make Fourwinds our home away from home again.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room was nicely decorated. We traveled in the winter, so the room rate was very cost-effective, especially for our lakefront view.
We liked: the well manicured grounds, the access to the marina, and the newly renovated hotel rooms. The staff was very friendly and the food was good.

Decided on a whim to do this. Expectations were not that high, and was pleasantly surprised with the accomodations. Rooms were very nice for the $$$.
the hotel was clean quiet and relaxing with great lake views and a nice indoor pool. The staff were helpful and the food was good.
Easy access to the Marina for watercraft and boat rentals. Recent renovation makes this a nice hotel and pool.
Quiet location and delightful view of the lake. Bed was comfortable. Competitive rate for quiet time suited us.
I really liked the property and surrounding grounds. I loved the balcony and view from balcony.

The rooms were nicely done and had just been remodeled. The area is nice and very rustic. Would be a nice marina in the summer.
Location seemed good for summer lake fun (although ours was a winter trip).
nothing really my wife and i travel frequently and many friends and family ask about our experiences at places so they can try places i would not reccomend this place to them very dis satisfied.
Because it was during the winter season, the restaurant closed early (the staff did recommend another place to eat, which was open and quite good). Facility is also in the middle of a remodel, so there was quite a bit of dust.
We would have liked pay per view movies.
Indoor pool needs a whirlpool or hot tub. Quite stuffy.
It was not well signed off the main road, and was quite a long drive down country lanes to get to the hotel. We got lost the first time we tried to get there.
Old fashioned decor; brown very 1970s. Lacking tender loving care in places. Dust on table in lobby was a turn off. Bedding was ill fitting: bottom fitted sheet did not fit.
I didn't like that our phone would not ring the front desk.
No hot tub.
Nothing.
The carpet in our room needed to be swept more closely and the base of the toilet needed some attention.
The heater in the room did not work properly. The noise in the hall traveled into the room easily. Restaurants not open.
Checking in and there were pouring aspalt and paving in front parking causing me to cough a lot and being in the way while unloading from car and no wifi or network on cell and Ipad and thought I get a room looking at the lake so it disappointed my wife.And the bed size was too small for me and my wife.
Crying kid next door.
The construction was going on all around the motel. All over. Wires hanging down from the ceilings, etc. The worst part was the free breakfast buffet where we had to bus our own tables and there was no server to get us a drink. Basic things would have helped. A lot.
Not enough toiletries (and some were already used when we checked into our room), not enough towels (need extra when room will host 4 people, not 2), renovation ongoing throughout hotel (floors covered in dirty plastic, walls had wet paint, dust and dirt everywhere - should be nice when finished), no hot tub, stock room at other end of hotel (had to wait 5 minutes for lone desk staff to make the journey to fetch a few items we needed).
walls were thin you could hear everything every one was sayin in the next room place was loud you could hear water running in the wall from the adjacent rooms and for what i paid i would never reccomend this place to anyone i know or stay here again.
