  I loved the room I had. It was the "04" room. It was my second time staying at this hotel. Both times I was lucky enough to be in the same room layout. As I walked down the hall toward my room this time I was trying to not hope that it was the same room so that I wouldn't be disappointed. Wow, was I happy. The trolley is just out the door, and they are many shops and restaurants very close by. The staff was great. The room rate ($129) was exceptional, but probably not near the standard rate. The staff was wonderful, our room was fantastic, (corner king), the food was good (pulled pork was best I've had in ages!), and the views were gorgeous. I loved how close it was to so many areas of SD. The pool area (with the firepits at night!) looked wonderful, but it was so windy so we didn't stay. I also loved the old pictures throughout the hotel. If you are from SD it was particularly super to see them.

  I can't find fault with anything. They were extremely accomodating and the staff was so lovely. Everyone. Housekeeping, front desk, restaurants. A lovely place to stay. - Hotel and amenities are excellent. Beautiful lush gardens with a great pool & hottub area. Clean and very nicely taken care of. I would definitely recommend it.

Hotel is conveniently located and so easy to move around the city and nearby. Old Town Trolley, which is a convenient way to go to the different attractions, stops right near the hotel side entrance. Driveway, lobby, room and bathroom are all very spacious. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Our room was available upon arrival at around half past 11 in the morning and we appreciated this very much. The hotel has taken steps to be eco-friendly which is admirable.
