Frankly, when I first checked in, the room overlooked the parking lot. It was my 28 wedding anniversary trip and I felt I wanted a more "romantic" view. The young lady at the reception desk (Carolina) was not only understanding, she was fantastic! She upgraded us to a view of the mountain and the lake. It was breathtaking....like a picture from a postcard and unquestionably very special for us. We had come to the Inn and Casino before. However, it was our first stay. The bed was the best hotel .
所有评语 » Our experience at the Inn was exceptional. The setting in which the Inn is built and maintained is beautiful: the lake, the hills and trees, the walking trails brought a sense of contentment. The facilities are first-rate. The food is delicious and abundant--three buffets with amazing choices!?! We celebrated my Bride's birth- day on the 29th at Wendell's and found great service, delicious food, and a restful atmosphere. Betty has decided that the Inn is an annual destination to cel. I loved the view of the lake and the many provisions to enjoy it both inside and out. The indoor pool/Jacuzzi was top notch with waterfall, great for pictures. The staff was friendly and the valet parking was free. The scenic walking trail included a "fit guide" a must see for exercise conscious travelers. Take a left out of the grounds for a quick ride into the town of Ruidoso, lots of quant shops and eateries. I liked having the feeling that if I could be any place on earth, I'd be at the Inn of the Mountain Gods forever. Christine (Reception) and Carl (Valet) made my group feel welcome and did everything within their power to keep us organized and ensure we were happy. The Gathering of Nations Buffet is the best! The convention center is an excellent concert venue. We enjoyed Diamond Rio and Lonestar!. Our room...even though it was a smoking room(done by booking .com) it did not smell. Concert inside resort. Dancing club. Shower worked well. Staff was helpful at concert. Breakfast was good at wendells. Bed was very comfy. Loved that we could do it all in one place. Hotel is relaxing, has a great atmosphere to it, like that I was able to go see Aaron Lewis, walk up to my room grab a cigar and then walk down and hit the casino and then sit and relax by a fireplace in the lobby and enjoy a coffee with my wife. Even though small casino is comfortable for the amount of guest that it serves good mix of tables and plenty of available slot machines. Rooms are excellent!! Good size, clean,modern, comfortable beds comparable to the better rooms in Vegas!. The beautiful grounds - so well maintained - and the mountains. The staff was very nice and efficient. There was an error on my room charge, more than what I was quoted in writing, and they took care of it immediately. Everything was excellent. The food was excellent at the Buffet. The music and movie was great. We more than enjoyed the hot tub. And enjoyed the paddle boats. The scenery was excellent. The staff was friendly. Staff was extremely good and accommodating. Hotel is very nice and location is perfect for a weekend get away. The Casino in the hotel was is a big plus and the price for the hotel very affordable. Everything, we had a great stay, very helpful and friendly staff, food was delicious, location was beautiful, weather was fantastic, my room ecspecially my bed was fantastic, & comfortable. Everyone was very pleasant and ready to help in any way. The scenery was beautiful, although we didn't have a view from our room. The food in the main restaurant was excellent, although pricey. The scenery, the lounges with the great view, the casino being right there and the non smoking area, and the many amenities offered !(horseback riding, biking, fishing, hiking, paddle boating). Great location,Good choice of activities. Dramatic entrance and lobby.Excellent food selection in the buffet. Smoke free area in the Casino is a real plus.The horse back ride was lots of fun. The views were amazing from the lobby. The Staff was polite, unobtrusive. The artwork displayed was beautiful. The Gift Shop was well run. The breakfast was excellent and well-priced. Breakfast buffet and watching the monster Mexican women from juarez devour a loaf of toast. And have her submissive husband carry her purse while he toasted the loaf of bread. We used to stay at the Inn a couple times a year, but the last few years it had been too expensive. We thoroughly enjoyed the perks of the Apache Spirit card. Thank you!. The location, decor, view from hotel lobby. Pasta station at buffet. Jessica, cashier at buffet the only one on the floor who had any business dealing with customers. The rooms are very spacious. The mountains and lake make it a beautiful and relaxing resort. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return. I loved sleeping in a featherbed...It was very comfortable and I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud... The rooms are large and the views are spectacular. The staff was very friendly. Staff accommodated us and upgraded our room for the same price. First time there, and it was excellent, especially the helpful, friendly staff. Love this hotel the area is beautiful unfortunately the lack of rain reflects some. However the place is wonderful. It was lovely. Very good promotion package for the casino - $10 coupon for buffet was a nice gesture. I love the view of the resort, I wish you offered more than just the casino for adults intertainment. Had a wonderful time. Staff were gracious and sweet. will definately stay here again. The Inn is always a nice" get away from it all" place to go forma couple of days. Convent , clean well layed out. Nice clean well kept casino and staff very nice. Our final bill was less than we had expected!!! Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. View and scenery are absolutely gorgeous. Feeling of grandeur in the resort. It was beautiful there, wish I could of stayed longer, will be coming back. That we could stay late at the casino and not have to drive somewhere else. The crispy clear sky, a room with balcony overlooking the golf course. the bed and the rooms are great,had the best sleep ever in a motel. I like to fish. I felt the expense of a boat and fishing equipment rental along with an $18 fishing permit was excessive. For Bill's part, the bed was too soft. But that is a matter of personal preference. The man and children next door were to loud and disruptive--particularly at at 5:00 in the morning. Nothing. I didn't like the fact that I had to leave and return to the real world. We gave the waiter at Wendells our spirit club card but he did not give us our discount or points. The refrigerator is not available for customers personal use. Smells like smoke as soon as you enter lobby. Concert was short. Stay was too short. Many Slots are outdated and that could be improved. Was a little disappointed in the points value when we left. I thought, as much as we played in the short time we were there, that we could at least eat one meal without paying extra. Just a comparison against the many casinos where we play... Hmm!!! If we would have known that there was a lakeside or the top of a building we would have made that choice. We couldn't change because there was no vacancy. The wait staff at the Nations were very friendly but forgetful and slow. The smell of smoke up in my room. The mini bar, we didn't use anything from the bar, but I did pull out the wine to see what type it was, and got charged. They removed the charges, but it left a little bad impression. Also the bathtub drain was messed up, wouldn't hold water, but when taking a shower you ended up with water above your ankles. The long line for the check in was ridiculous and then our room wasn't ready!. Some areas show lack of maintenance, Dirty windows, Hot water faucet in our room (728) leaked.Evening dinner prices in Wendels was too high. Our room was a long, long walk! We were there too early for the waterfall!. The slots weren't paying anyone that we saw or even giving play time. Every one was complaining. The expensive hotel room without the perks. view from room 732-horrible. wait staff at buffet-never checked on me or even stopped by my table to greet- no tea refill. Manager (female) seemed to not care about experience. I can't think of a anything I didn't like. Nothing... I liked everything about it. It was a great place to stay. I have stayed at least four times. Each visit has been very enjoyable. Since I booked through letsbookhotel.com, the receptionist said they had put me in a king smoking room. However, they upgraded me for a small increase in price to a suite. Not getting the balcony lake view room at your advertised $79 rate. But rather paying $99 per night for three nights. Supposedly a "superior king". In my opinion the room was a standard king. The room was on the northern side where the sun did not shine on the balcony. The balcony door had a difficult closing and or locking. The view. I was wanting to sit outside my room and drink coffee and enjoy the beautiful view but was unable to because of the men working right outside my room. The room was noisy, difficult to sleep. The person at the registration desk insisted that we asked for a smoking room. When we came back to check in after 3 pm we had another clerk check us in with a no smoking room and we wondered why we were made to think that there wasn't room for us.We drove a long way to get there and we were looking at having to stay someplace else. It was uncomfortable for obviously no reason as the hotel did have room. When first booking our trip for the end of March, on the phone 3 or 4 times I brought up playing golf. I was never told the course didn't open until April 1st. So when I went online to book tee times I wasn't able. So then I called and at that time was told the coure wasn't open until after our stay the last weekend of March. We almost canceled and went to Buffalo Thunder for our weekend. I guess I would say your front desk should have known and also online gave rates for March. would like to other then weekend the only club not open on week days only the sports bar. I didn't know if staff was ever going to clean our room; I had to call and request, then they come quickly. Booked a nonsmoking room through letsbookhotel.com upon checking in were placed in a smoking room..After straightning that mess out were placed in a different room,but not the same kind of room that letsbookhotel.com had described..There was no balcony or amazing view.... I had reserved two single rooms, non smoking, with king size beds. Was told at the check in that I had reserved for two standard beds even though I had the reservation, confirmation number, and pin. They upgraded one room to a suite and the other to a single, king after some discussion though they still insisted I had not reserved king rooms and that I had called in the reservation even after I told them they were reserved through the internet. My husband and I could not sleep in the room, the air condition unit made loud noises when in operations. The room was too warm, I kept getting up in the middle of the night to turn it down so the room could cool off. The appearance was nice, just the air condition unit was not good. I know you want to cater to families, but I did not like the idea kids running through the hotel unsupervised. International buffet food was not very good but perhaps it was because we arrived later in the evening. I reserved a non-smoking room at a decent price - I got a smoking roomand had to dispute my rate to get it. got the lower rate but room was smokin, literally took 5 minutes of running the facets to get hot water and no view whatsoever. may have been better to spend an extra twenty bucks and get what i want next time. Buffet prices little high for what yu get. Would have like to have found trails to walk and explore nearby. casino was terrible. More than half the machines were out of service. We enjoy playing slots, but were greatly disappointed, because of this we would think twice before visiting again. That we got the very last room and it was not fun going to my room alone late. The beds were very, very uncomfortable. Did not sleep well at all. the halls where you go to your rooms smelled like smoke other wise everything else was good. a little to high on the drink's in the rooms.and the candy.
