I appreciated the complimentary coffee and the front desk staf - I participated in a conference at Penn State University.I was out the door ar 8am and coming back after 9 pm. I didn't have much time to take advantages of facilities. I liked the location, it was walking distance from Alumni building.I liked the fact that I could open the window to get fresh air and hearthe birds in the morning.

  Location, on the gps- does not take you directly to hotel.. Loved the breakfast, However the staff was unable to keep up with the demand. Very comfy beds and nice clean rooms!   I was quite concerned after reading the mixed reviews, however there was an event that took 8500 rooms in Philly with many hotels sold out and choices were extremely limited. Microtel is a great choice if you just want a clean bed and bathroom and easy train access into Philly.
