  I was greeted by a very nice man. I learned the next day that the hotel is owned by his family. I wish that business was better so that they could afford renovating their beautiful room on the 2nd floor which has a ceiling as beautiful as what I have seen in Venice! Opposite a local library. Close in village for evening dinner. Close to Lake Placid and other local attractions.

  The Carriage House sets across the street from the Econo Lodge where we stayed 20 years ago. The cost of the rooms was cheaper. It was clean and all you have to do is walk across the road to the econo lodge to use their indoor pool or hot tub. The staff at the econo lodge are very friendly and helpful.
