  The hotel was huge and very nicely decorated, both in the reception area and in the rooms. There were actual birds in the lobby, not sure if they were supposed to be there or squatting, but I thought they were cute. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I grew up in Greenwich 50 years ago and this was my first trip back to see old friends I had grown up with. The rooms while extremely basic, and more like a well designed motel than a resort still had the finest textiles. Thick towels and pillow top beds with high count sheets.   We lived in farmington for 12 years. We stayed at the Inn because its close to UConn Health Center where our grandchild was born. It was perfect; lovely room; breakfast room; great coffee; very comfortable; walking distance to several places to eat. And we love the town.
