Most of all the price! Second the location to best parts of oakland, to the ferry to sfo and other bay area cities. The tube (bart) is very close. There are discount stores near by for food, booze, and items from around the world. Excellent cambodian restaurand around the corner up broadway four or five blocks just before chinatown . old town is adjacent to chinatown. Excellent location in Jack London square. Very nice helpful staff. Good free parking on premises. Very close to ocean, lots of dining choices, bars, and revamped area of Oakland. Comfortable bed and hot shower. Had a iron and a hair dryer available to borrow.
所有评语 » Loved the location in the heart of wonderful Oakland and near the bay. The motel had great character and was walking distance of a nice vegan soul food restaurant, Souley Vegan. What I liked about the hotel is that is the perfect place if you are looking for an authentic american city like experience and the stuff was incredibly nice to us. Great location, very good value,the staff was very friendly, I will definitely book this hotel again on my future trips. Room service, quiet, friendly staff and good location. Good closet space. Price, location, WiFi, friendly helpful staff. A good size room, not tops in clean, the window was left open when i entered from last client. Shower floor cracked and dingy. area was good if shopping. The location was great; as a woman on my own I felt very safe. The price was a bargain for the bay area; that's why I booked it. Very location good place to stay when in SF Bay area will return again good price. Location is great because of close proximity to the Oakland Amtrak station. Great price. Free parking while other hotels in area charge $25 per day. the bed was comfortable They did supply ear plugs when we asked. Location. helpful staff....was told about the ferry from oakland to SF Fisher'man's wharf, which i took my son to....usually take BART and then Cable car to wharf, but ferry was less expensive and direct access. Jack London Square is a great place. Not far from Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe and Blue Bottle Coffee Co. Bike rentals close. Convenient to Bart and city transportation. You pay for a shower and place to change clothes and that's what you get. The hotel is located near train rails each 10 minuts you can hear the train crossing by, very hard !. I like the restaurant next door and the view down the street. The staff was friendly and it was easy to find. Staff did the great job as they can do. I ENJOY THE BED AND BATHING， cleaning. The staff was very helpfully and kind. Close to town and business district. Location, free parking. Everything was dirty. Location. Location. location. - Fairly close to the city centre and to the BART train station for San Francisco. - Choice of restaurants nearby (around Jack London Square). The receptionist was good. The hotel was reasonably clean. Location fair. It was close to where I was doing business. A bit dated and rundown building. Amtrak comes through close by so train sounds. Whole place could be updated and etc but you get what you pay for and it's a great deal. It was loud during the night. I heard music, singing, the train, doors slamming, and people talking. I didn't liked the fact that in the night it can get a little bit scary and the trains passing in front of the hotel are making a lot of noise. Train horns late nights. Trains go by all day and blow horns, very loud. Door keys are finicky.. old locks and you have to play with them to get it to open. Get a room away from the street to avoid some of the train noise. old sheets and not a clean blanket. no tub. amtrack went right in front of building. noisy. It seemed like an old decayed area with edge of gangs. The hotel is shabby and could use a facelift. The hot water faucet in the bathroom sink didn't work and the bathroom itself had a lot of water damage. I considered telling the front desk when I checked out, but my arrival and departure were treated with such indifference, I didn't bother. Slow to change towels and facilites need maitnence. Hotel is in terrible shape and in need of a complete reconditioning. Only lite in the main room where beds are located is a nightstand and it didn't work. Carpets are worn and ripped, tile is cracked and broken in bathroom. the only thing on the wall in the bathroom is the holder where the hair dryer used to ber. 1)Called down to desk for hairdryer. Desk person said she would call it in to housekeeping. Called again 3 hrs. Later....housekeeping not coming and she could not leave front desk. 2)Phone did not work in room. 3)Loud trains going by Inn (within 50 feet) all day and night. 4) no water in pool. It is right near the train tracks. There was no garbage can in the room The bathroom walls needed to be repaired. I did not like the carpet not cleaned..the bathroom had missplaced floor piece..there were no cups..no coffee maker...there were no TOWELS for later showering or the next morning..that is a strong NO NO for any hotel accomodations!!!!!!! there was a small hole in wall partition...hall way carpet was not clean...out side refreshment machines did clearly state to recieve change when purchasing cold beverages out side of room area... The carpet was filthy, and not many wash cloths the maid kept leaving us hand towels for wash cloths. Train noise, non-working TV, non-working lamp at bedside. The windows dont open and there was no remote for the tv. slow wifi. air in the room. room was dirty and made sure my 6 year old kept his shoes on becuase the carpet was not just tired, but quite filthy...rooms need upgrades badly...had to request towels and then they were taken before i could use again.... The price listed online was $300 a night, but the special prices was $60. When I walked into my room, the tv was on and the bed wasn't made. The keys I was given for the next two rooms didn't work, a door handle broke and the smell was really bad. Loud trains most of evening and morning, no remote for TV, no iron.Front desk "tried" to be helpful. Blood stained sheets on freshly made bed.peeling painted bathtub.Windows that were painted shut and no air conditioner.Old odors of God knows what.....I Could go on forever..... The plumbing was really bad. Pipes made noise if the toilet was flushed in quick succession and the neighborhood was a bit scarey. So noisy with Amtrak throughout the night. Hallway and room are not clean. No lobby service ， no telephone, noisy with train. The hotel room was dingy, dirty, and not what we had requested. There was a huge stain on the carpet that looked like a cleaned up blood puddle. The toilet became detached from the ground when you sat in it. There was the smell of smoke throughout the whole floor that our room was on. The sheets to the two queen beds in the room didn't fit& had stains on them. It was a disgusting room, the worst I've ever been in. very old, very dirty. Great for a solo backpacker type or someone working a dirty job. Dirty and noisy, its ok for one night only. I would not ever stay there again this tge kind of motel u dont want sleep under the covers you get a bug bite or catch a disease i couldnt even take shower it was so dirty. Everything else...sticky carpet..ac did not work..burns in mattress..shower door had no handle so it could not latch.(water all over bathroom floor)..etc. 2Nd floor room carpet badly stained & wet; moved to 4th floor- hallway filthy smelled bad, smoke, room looked unclean & windows spray painted white. Returned to 2nd floor- no choice, one night only anyway. My credit card was frauded by desk clerk. the carpet was very dirty. Moldy bathroom with no hot water in the shower. - the location is not safe at night - fornitures are old - it doesn't look not particularly clean. Train rain every 30min into the late evening and early morning. The run down room Beds were poor, lien poor, the bedding sucked. The hot water would not heat up beyond warm. The heater was out, only air condition could not take shower due to, no hot water. I will never go back, in the process of Yelping hotel. No dress code for staff. Building was dirty. Room was very 1990 look, needs to be updated with new furniture and my room had a crack in the wall that should have been fix before letting a customer book it. no function heater, train next to motel, no microwave or refrigerator, no light bulbs, old dirty washrooms. A/C dorsn't works. Its behind the train station. First of all, the staff except for one staff member was extremely poor, did not care one iota and they were most unhelpful. Poor room facility and no A/c working with bad smell. It was the worst experience in US. It was hard to sleep in the night due to train sounds. Also, if someone opens the adjacent room door you feel like someone entered your room. No mention in the adds of the trains that go by every 15 minutes sounding their horns at full blast. The trains actually travel down the center of the road outside the hotel. The hotel staff do not clean rooms, just dump sheets in the rooms and expect you to finish their job, and leave bags of rubbish for days. We had to ask for towels almost every day. The worst hotel I have ever seen. smell of urine. cold water showers,noise, air conditioning and heat not working. Needs upgrades. not being able to open the windows. elevator not working properly.
