The hotel was awesome! Super clean. Comfortable beds. Great staff. 15 minutes to Meeting St. Easy exit off 205b @ I-26. Special mention for Torry Cook in maintenance...YOU Are my HERO...lol! We will definitely be back. We had the best week ever! We will never stay downtown Charleston again if we can get a room here. BTW...Our room looked just like the picture...that has never happened. 所有评语 » The staff were wonderful and kudos to the lady taking care of breakfast ..literally feeding hoards of people with a smile hug and sweetness! The cleaning lady for our room was so kind and helpful and assisting in every need and pointing out coffee is available 24/7. Peaceful surroundings and easy to get to Charleston beaches and in town . very conveniently situated with plenty of parking Easy access to Beaches and city and plantations etc. Clean spacious rooms with everything you'd need. My husband and I were able to relax in an extremely nice facility, go out and shop or sight see during the day, and then come back to a feeling of "home" in the evening. The convenience of the hotel's Business Center allowed us to complete quite a number of business tasks so that, when our vacation was over, we didn't feel like we'd have to play "catch up" when we returned home. Wingate by Wyndham really is "The Best of Both Worlds." We can't wait to go back!. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast more than adequate. Staff both helpful and friendly. The location very nice with lots of trees around. I got a special price on line for my room and as a senior was very impressed with that.My only concern at the time was I had to pay upfront but I took that chance. Considering the standard your hotel maintains it was an excellent bargain for me. The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and the area where is located, makes this a great place to stay if going to visit Charleston. It is a bit of a drive away from the beaches, but it is worth the drive. It is secluded but centrally enough to make it a perfect place to stay. I really liked that they used local artist for their wall art- excellent local photography. The room was a great size. The shower had plenty of water pressure. Bed was comfortable. When there was a problem with the hot tub, someone fixed it as soon as we brought it to their attention. Great staff - Debbie was always looking after my room and me! Good Job! Hotel is rather removed from downtown Charleston (15 miles), but it is situated adjacent to a university campus with peaceful surroundings and a scenic state park within walking distance. While located directly adjacent to the beautiful campus of Charleston Southern Univrsity, and just off Hwy#26W, this hotel is 15 miles from downtown Charleston. My room #128 is right beside the cafeteria area and can be noisy in the morning. Not a lot to do right beside hotel. But a short drive and there is plenty to do. Sheets were pretty flimsy. I wish the outdoor hot tub was open 24 hours. No comments at this time. Breakfast could have had more to choose from. unfriendly front desk at check in, unclean bathroom, broken toilet seat, severe water leak in shower head(overspray 2 ft into bathroom). Pillows were very uncomfortable. Air conditioner was very noisy!. There is nothing about it I didn't like. There's not much directly around the hotel but that wasn't an issue for us. pillows, but it's because we are used to sleeping with contour pillows; couldn't really get comfortable. The gym had very few cardio machines and no weights . it was quite far out of Charleston but it did not take too long to get there , but about 17 miles outside. overall everything was good at the hotel, but if I can say one thing I do not like. this was breakfast time, was only 6'00 a.m to 9:00 a.m. Then, mothers with children or families with young kids are left without having breakfast, they should remember that children and young people are on vacation and at least should give breakfast until 10:00 in the morning as it is usually in most hotels. It was a bit far away from what we came to see and do but that wasn't a big deal. There wasn't a vent fan in bathroom so when you shower the mirror would fog up. The bed was not very comfortable!. Breakfast was crowded one day, but there was not much negative at this hotel. The bedroom portion was freezing and we didn't see the thermostat for there until the next morning. We kept adjusting the one in the main area. Tons of teenagers there when we were there. Overcrowded breakfast area and we were on a time constraint.
