Gorgeous classic Newport accommodation for the full experience. This place has heart soul and character and Margaret is gracious, welcoming and delightful. The breakfast is wonderful. A beautiful stay. Cozy, antique B&B in downtown Newport. Good facilities and comfortable room. Nice breakfast selection of fruits and yogurts, breads and muffins, etc. Relaxing stay. The manager was very helpful in suggesting places to eat. It was very centrally located in Newport so that we could walk to most sights.

The furniture was classy, the facilities were clean, the innkeeper was very hospitable, and the location was great. Great Amount Of Space And Close To Everything!. Very comfortable and welcoming. Great welcome, nice clean room. On-site parking, en-suite bathroom, cozy leather couch in the parlor, gas fireplace, flexible check-in and check-out, friendly Innkeeper Margaret, cheerful and charming exterior. Location, Magret the innkeeper was friendly. location. The location. Margert was courteous when we decided to find someplace else to stay in Newport. Nothing. One way traffic in Newport made access confusing. Our room was very, very tiny with the bathroom way down the hall( although it was only for us). The breakfast was more continental with fresh fruit - not what we expected from a typical B & B. No a/c in common area or breakfast room and very hot during our stay. A/C in our room however. bathroom was not ensuite. Small detail - our private bathroom wasn't ensuite. Didn't MentionThat There Was a Cat InThe House. Nothing. Separate bathroom. Poor breakfast options and cleanliness of dish ware, Innkeeper's cat (and associated odors), cleanliness of floors (hair), stained bedding, stained bathrobe, previously used (read: licked) gratuity envelope, noisy after hours (heavy slamming wooden doors, no noise policy), loud bathroom vent fans that literally vibrate surrounding rooms. Our room needed a new mattress. no bathroom in our room downstairs smelled like cat pee. The rooms were not as shown,the bathrooms were down the hall,not next to the rooms as I was told,there was no place to heat anything except in the private kitchen which was filthy and the cat was on the counters. It is NOT handicap acessible which was not diclosed, and did not know about the resident cat. I know it was pet friendly which means the other guest are responsible but not a cat wondering around jumping on the table where you are trying to have a snack.
