The location of this hotel is incredible, right on the beach with a restaurant on the top floor. We watched dolphins playing in the waves as we chowed down on amazing pancakes and eggs benedict. Its also right on a bike path into Monterey, 20 min ride one way and in the other direction, wild empty wild beaches and sand dunes for miles. We went to sleep to the sound of crashing waves and woke to sunrise over the bay. Staff super helpful and friendly, especially Luis, even when we asked for room .
所有评语 » Their location is right on a beautiful beach with uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean - it's fantastic! The hotel is also well designed to allow views and access to the ocean all throughout the facility. This Best Western truly takes advantage of its prime location. Also it is very conveniently located right off the Highway 1, and is just outside of Monterey so the beach is primarily for hotel guests!. Excellent location right on the beach and very easy to find, just off the highway. Easy access to the town and all facilities. Good car parking. Swimming pool relatively small for this size hotel but pleasant. Excellent food in restaurant with fantastic views of the Pacific, very efficient and friendly staff in the restaurant. Location right on beach and having a pool for the kids was wonderful. It was also nice having a restaurant on site with a short walk to get a meal or being able to order room service when the kids were too tired to eat out. We love the friendliness and accommodating staff. The location was excellent. Listening to the wave crashing while in our room was amazing and so relaxing. A reminder of Gods great creation. Excelent place. The view was amazing & the sound of the crashing waves. we weren't prepared to see dolphins so close. Hotel staff was friendly and welcoming, the room was spotless and peaceful. 1)Great value, 2)Friendly front desk staff, 3)great location - beach front, 4)Clean, 5)adequate parking, 6)vending machines accept credit cards, 7)near freeway - easy to find. Being right on the beach was wonderful. Though we were not facing the beach it was close by. It was a really nice beach to walk on and on. Also the lobby view was great. The hotel was very nice. Our room opened right to the beach with a beautiful view of the bay. It was easy to get to, right off the freeway. A great value for the money. The lobby and restaurant are both very nice and great staff. Loved the location on the beach. Also really liked the nice privacy window blind system that is electric. We loved our room on the first floor where we could walk out to the beach. The restaurant served wonderful food. We would definitely use this hotel again. The View of the ocean was fantastic, the grounds are beautiful. the restaurant food excellent as well as the service. I wanted to stay much longer. I loved the ocean right out your door and the beach was awesome. Plus the food in the restaurant was delicious for the money. It was amazing. The location. We loved being right on the beach and it is the only hotel around so the beach wasn't overly crowded. Gorgeous beach too. Loved having ocean view room. Front desk was able to give us a king bed room, ocean view even tho they were overbooked. We loved the location and the amenities that they offer. We love the beach and the view was spectacular. That is is always a pleasure when we go there. This is our number 1 place to go and it is always great. We had a room with two queens, it was very cramped, will go for interconnecting instead next time. Some of the interior looks a little run down, I didn't really want to walk on the rug in our room but I think this is a result of the on the beach location, it gets weathered and a bit damp, a small price to place for the location tough. Liked everything. Long waits at reception due to understaffing. The room was small for 4 people. The vanity part of the bathroom didn't have a door which made changing in private difficult (the shower/toilet area was soooo small--barely room to close the door-- there wasn't much room to move around). The restaurant was convenient however the quality of food and service times need improvement. The rooms could need some update to a modern retreat instead of beach cottage will even make this place amazing to stay at. Being its always going to be damp or wet, rooms need to be checked for molds for our had some which was not good for the children. Will stay again given there's no molds in our room this time. 1)Minimal privacy - perimeter walkways should have been balconies, and hallways should have been internal not perimeter. Other guests walking by room frequently. Not a great design. 2)In the restaurant, for breakfast, the chili sauce bottle cap exploded off the bottle spraying sauce all over myself and wife. Waiter did nothing when made aware. Label states must be refrigerated. Not enough time. The bathroom did not have a bathtub and we have a 4 year old with us. The shower was small and had no door. We actually had to step into the shower in order to close the bathroom door. The rooms are a bit old and small bathrooms were small are dark lighting. The window in the room overlooking the ocean was not very clear. the 17.00 parking fee was too high. I thought it was only for preferred parking and there would be accessible free parking, but that was not the case. The price of parking for staying there was a little ridiculous. The parking fee is a bit steep. I can justify (I suppose) it's necessity but I think they could come up with a better deal than $17 EVERY DAY. The rooms are a bit cramped, but we didn't spend much time there so that's not much of a big deal. Upon arrival, found that hotel was overbooked. Had we been a few minutes later (plane delays caused us to be later than 7 pm to check in) we may have had to relocate to another close by hotel.... No complaints. They were more that friendly and accommodating to our requests. No complaints. Difficulty opening and closing gates to and from parking areas. Fee for parking on premises. None. Bath room could have been a bit bigger. Walkway is in front of windows and door to room, between room and view. Had to keep blinds closed, windows Dont open so miss a lot of ocean. 5 Reception staff Checking in 2 people so a bit of a wait and was not acknowledged Charge on credit card came in at higher than receipt and parking charged seperate from room?. Little worn down hotel, restaurant not as good as previously, but still fantastic view. Rather expensive. Parking charges. Far from Monterey most turistic places - Car is necessary. Paying for parking! Also the bath tub was not completely clean. Carpet felt somewhat damp, otherwise nice and practical room with good design. Restaurant could be better value for money. The carpet in the room was dirty and worn out. The mattress was too firm, I woke up with a sore back. 17.00 parking fee. Parking was expensive, 17 a day. noisy elevator(lift) our room was quite a distance away. location for monterey you have to drive in rather than walk (about 4 miles away). Outside walkway and taking not kept as clear. As last time. You didn't serve contenial breakfast. Loud machine noise outside room, couldn't sleep!. A little expensive. N/A. The long process to check in, Our room was not ready clear after check in time. I waited in line 3 times while others got their rooms right away. Then our keys didnt work and I waited in line another 15 min. All in all it took over an hr to check in and get in out room. The food at the resturant was not up to par (But they did go above and beyond to try and make it right.). Location of pool and it had really big windows everywhere showing you the fantastic location but they need to be cleaned more often - dirty water marks and some bird droppings spoilt this. Very loud buzzing noise all night from electrical panel beside our room...very little sleep on second night. Beds were hard Staff was not very friendly nor helpful Cafe staff was extremely slow and disorganized We booked 2 rooms, gave 2 credit cards upon check-in, still 1 card was charged in the end In 1 of our rooms, the AC didn't work and the carpet was wet; when we complained, they moved us, but it took all day The coffee pot was useless.
