the small town feel and coutesy of our reception was refreshing. no pretense. we stay at many of the best hotels in the world and the intimacy of the hotel and adjacent facilities was relaxed and fun. 2nd street bistro is superb, our 2nd visit. the murray bar is A great western honky tonk, again very relaxed and fun. the live music is excellent.
所有评语 » The room was beautifully furnished in a cooled-off-old-West style. The bathroom had a stand up shower and a claw foot bathtub. Luxury linens and sitting area furnishings were a plus. Very cool retro-western hotel. Great room (Queen suite). Can't say anything negative. If it were 100 years ago, I would live there if I had a job at the railroad or banks. Homely hotel, with lots of character and history. Lot of attention to detail. Bedding, towels etc was tip top. Easy booking We've stayed at the Murray several times--really like the look and feel. Love the 2nd St Bistro. Comfortable bed and chaise lounges in sitting room. Enjoyed the old time flavor of the furnishings. The history of the hotel and the surrounding area. Local restaurant the hotel recommended. Each room was different. They were huge and had everything you could need. I loved the history of the hotel and the hand crank elevator!. The hospitality, decor and homey feeling of the hotel. historic ambiance. great local restaraunts. Beautiful and historic. We liked the location and the ambience. We prefer older hoteIs if they are clean. Which it was if not for the smoke smell. I liked the ear plugs. there was nothing we didn'T like. we do wish they would do A bit more to make the roof deck A more relaxing spot but we do understand the limitations. Train noise occasionally at night but the hotel provides earplugs. Nothing. I liked hearing train whistles at 3 AM,honestly. The railway shunting yard is close to the hotel, and the hooting of the trains was really an irritation-sleeping is difficult. In fact, we were warned to place ear plugs when we sleep, but did not have any. Fresh coffee and cream not available in the lobby at 7:45 am on Sunday. No newspapers. In-room coffee and coffee creamer--yuck. Where were the tissues?. The noise from the bar leased out by the hotel when entertainment is booked. Nothing. Heat and internet connection. When I entered the building I tripped on the stoop. The desk person did not notice because the music was too loud. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. Not fresh but maybe over years.
