  This hotel, though on the southern tip of Manhattan, was conveniently located near several subway stations providing access to many different lines. Transportation to/from the airport was easy and there were cabs and livery cars available when we were ready to leave. Staff were welcoming and quite helpful. Despite what you read on some reviews, the elevator wasn't that slow. Plus, it is New York, learn to wait sometimes. We had a good view of lower Manhattan and the river.
