We love Lake George and especially the Fort Wiliam Henry Resort...stayed with our kids 25+years ago several times and then again this summer with my brother and his wife...they loved it. Loved the Cafe for drinks, the veranda in the evening for star gazing and a night cap and the breakfast on the deck in the morning...also Great location and right price to stay when hitting Saratoga for a day or two of racing as well.
所有评语 » My husband and I only stayed one night but it was very relaxing and enjoyable. We enjoyed the pool and the spa. There are beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. The breakfast was very good. We got into town very early and they allowed us to check in way before check in time. We would very much like to stay there again. I found the resort on-line and was nervous booking reservations as I did not know the area. I like to park the car and walk everywhere on vacation. yOUR HOTEL IS IN A PERFECT LOCATION. For shopping, eating, walking, activities. We are already making plans to visit again. We loved it, the hotel is in a great location in Lake George! All the staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived 4 hours early to check in, and they let us in our room at no extra charge. Great place!. every thing , clean ,friendly, location, staff, breakfast was great,lunch great,this hotel was so enjoying we can't said enough about it. Location, was great. We were there for a wedding. Wedding was very beautiful. Your staff did a great job with all the details. Great location. Also, I reserved a standard room and when I checked in, was given a premium room at the same rate. I really liked how accommodating the staff was, and they definitely met all my expectations and than some. The waiter service by the pool and the overall laid back atmosphere. The concierge Nick was wonderful!. Room was clean, quiet, & peaceful. Hotel staff was friendly and courteous. Had a wonderful stay. I loved everything about this hotel!! I have never met a more friendly staff either!. The view was awesome. Just sitting there looking at the scenery was very relaxing. Directly on Lake George. Our room overlooked the lake which was special. Location. Staff were nice and attentive. Room was spacious and clean. Good size of room, clean, comfortable bed/pillows, location. Like the location, the spacious grounds, the helpful staff. The staff was very friendly & tried to accommodate us. pool,views,comfortable bed,location, general cleanliness. Hotel and area plus Log Jam restarant and view of lake. The pool and sauna were great and really quiet. Thursday night fireworks were A great suprise. The quiet People and the beauty of the place. Nothing... No elevator to be found in the premium wing. Also, a king bed when 2 doubles would have suited our needs better with a child. Room did not have a refrigerator. Not sure the tub was cleaned prior to our arrival...several hairs lying around that did not belong to my family. Breakfast was so unorganized. There were only 5 tables occupied and we waited an 45 minutes to be seated. I asked to be seated outside and was told that there was no waiter for outside. There started seating people outside shortly after and then seated us inside. I didnt want to wait any longer since we had pland which we were already late for, so I sat inside.The food was not very good either.The ghost tour was so dumb. I was not in the main hotel, was in the older part of the hotel, no refridgerator and no microwave. The shower needs to be upgraded. There is no ventilation in the bathroom. We had to carry our luggage upstairs even though we reserved a room using an aarp discount. Only 1 lounge/bar was open & it was crowded, 2 were listed for the hotel. Liked it all. Beds were to firm and could not get a good night sleep. Both pools somewhat neglected, the indoor pool felt like a basement and was cold. So was the hot tub at 11 in the morning. I also did not get the room I originally asked for and there was no explanation. Our room did not have the lake view promised & rate was considerably more than agreed to. dirty grout in bathroom. Not much....It was our Honeymoon and we loved our stay. We were left at the counter for ten minutes when we were booking in. A desk bell would be useful. The food too much fast food. They told me I was upgraded however I found room had a serious problem with the bed frame on which I scraped my leg and there were cob webs noticed on the ceiling.. All of which were reported and taken care of ,but should not have happened. Was hoping to get a nice steak dinner but the menu was changed totally for St. Patrick's Day. Would have preferred to have been given a room in the hotel instead of the motel. Food Room. need refrigerator.... Hallways, etc. could have been cleaner. No fridge in room. The wing rooms are not that good, you feel like second class guest. pricey cost of cot was pricey bigger coffee. They overrode my booking and placed me in the motel part of the hotel to accomodate another patron who was part of a convention. I like everthing. The room was not cleaned well and needed repairs. hot tub too small. nothing. We were placing in the room facing the mountain. We have to request the room facing the lake. There are rooms available facing the lake. The staff should give guess the better room which is available. This will bring back more guess to the hotel. my room was in wing off to side of main hotel. rooms were very dated. would have been nicer to stay in main part of hotel. The beds need an upgrade they are old and uncomfortable, the pool was very dirty and the towels in the pool looked horrible, the heating unit in the room is extremely loud. price. was supposedly a mountain view. my view was the parking lot. had to drive around the hotel to get to my room. it was on a different level with no elevator. Had a cart full of bags and a senior who has trouble with stairs. Were not told in advance about the room location. Security: card did not work on exterior doors. Tape and a rock to block door open during the day but at night one had to walk loooong way around to room. room was old and the bed was very uncomfortable. The bedroom annexe needs refurbishment. We were in the older section. We think it needs a major renovation done, especially in the bathroom. There is new furniture in the room, but the holes are still in the wall where the old headboards were. For the money, it was just very shabby. My husband already said we will never stay there again. We will go back to Lake George, but won't stay at this hotel! The carpet needed a good cleaning too. The bathroom was really the pits. We will NOT recommend Fort William Henry to anyone!. No elevator to room on second floor. Shower was tepid. No fridge. No breakfast . Hotel was expensive for what I didn't get. We did not get a room with the view we were told we would get. Had to call several times to get room on 2nd floor even though we booked in August 2013. There definitely was not enough staff at front desk. West wing needs major renovation, should have an elevator, refrigerators and microwaves. I didn't feel we were treated the same way other guests were treated who stayed in main hotel!.
