  I stayed in a 2nd floor room (as I requested), for two nights Sept 27-28 2013. The room was very basic, but since it was just for myself, it was just fine - old and rustic with plenty of gold rush character, but clean and practical. The hot water got hot very quickly in both the bathroom sink and the shower, which al - I loved the size of the room. Jamestown is a wonderful place to visit and the shops are varied and interesting. The antique shops are quite large and the people in them are friendly. The hotel itself has a beautiful clean sparking pool for kids/families.
