We loved the location and the hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The desk clerk even printed out our plane boarding passes for the next day. There is a waterfall over 200 feet high right at the hotel and the hotel itself has a lot of character and was plenty luxurious. The rate for our room the night we stayed there was excellent. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and the food was very good; we had duck. One neat thing was the ride on the old elevator which requires a staff pe.
所有评语 » Is a gorgeous hotel. Old victorian design and art work. Lots of local artwork decorating the area and for sale. Super friendly staff and excellent food. We had a excellent time and got engaged while at it overlooking the waterfall. Awesome weekend and beautiful hotel. The buffalo burgers and chicken fried steak are out of this world!. We like the old hotel feel with modern amenities. The staff was friendly & helpful. The setting is outstanding with the waterfall, the beautiful grounds & the river. The only staff member's name we have is Devin. He was exceptionally gracious & took us up to the roof; he would not accept a tip. Very nice, young fellow. Excellent experience! Hotel and staff extremely helpful! letsbookhotel.com offered great savings and rooms that were not available through the hotel! I loved this experience and so did my family, including grown children. Thanks. Old charm of the building. The killer views of the river and Washington State. Beautiful Christmas lights on the grounds. The attentive staff in the dining room. Dinner and breakfast well prepared. The inside had been completely redecorated in the time era of the original glory of the hotel. Very retro and plush. Amazing staff, helpful, polite. It's an historic hotel in a beautiful and dramatic location near the tourist friendly town of Hood River. Everything, clean, style, cool old elevator, landscaping, water pressure, bed... Location, food, courteous staff, comfortable bed, gardens and waterfall, decor. It was very nice, beautiful, scenic, and quiet. Loved it!!!. The history & beauty of hotel & grounds. Great restaurant food Views Quaint rooms. historic hotel with a great location. Good food and waiters. Elevator service was good. No major complaints except the $20 per dog pet fee per night is stupidly expensive. Especially compared to the other hotels in the area and their pet fees. When u have 2 small dogs, $40 a night for them is too much. I'd like to see $20 per night period and not per pet. What's not to like?. leaving. Wish I could have stayed longer to check out the grounds. Apparently there is a waterfall in the back. room rather small for cost, I thought (but nice!). My husband would have liked a continental breakfast. Food left a little to be desired. Restaurant service slow Couldn't print boarding pass - printer out of ink and paper - no one knew how to fill ink. highly overpriced for a room with no view. The train tracks below my window sucked. their is black mold in the silicon around the bath tub. The rest was all good.
