The staff was very helpful to us, our room was older, but, clean & worked. We do not go on vacation to hang out in the room!!!. The facilities were very accommodating and conveniently close to numerous area attractions!. The Travelodge was across the street from LuLu's and close to the beach and shopping. Where it was located, ease to the beach, and all other attractions.

Great location roomy. It was a cheap place to stay for 5 days for a baseball tournament. It was close to the beach. Employees were friendly. the price was right. good location. price. Once I found it, (Many 1st streets in the area), it was convenient to the beach and Gulf Shores State Park. It was the cheapest hotel I could find considering the Hangout Music Festival weekend. The location was very close to shopping and the beach. They switched rooms for us after complaining . Distance to beach and shopping was great. Cheap and there was plenty of parking... The lady behind desk was very friendly. The staff and location. Allowed early check-in. Location was nice. Location..... Good Location. Very little. Location. Location. Location. Location. I liked the surroundings and how close it was to the beach. Nothing wouldn't pay over 50 bucks for this place!. I really don't have any complaint. Musty smell. Humidity is high & water close. What can you do?. My reservation through letsbookhotel.com was not on file with hotel staff. I did however have a email confirmation on my iPhone that they did accept. Would recommend that future trips be confirmed with the hotel prior to arrival. The room had a musty odor and there were only two towels. Beds need to be a little bigger, and better mattresses. Need irons. Need better variety for breakfast. Only served two cereals. How often is the carpet shampoo'd?. Carpet was messed up and i stepped on a strip of nails theat went thru my heal... bathroom was not too tidy. Fire alarm going off around 2 A.M. in the morning - took at least 15 to 20 mins to response & turn it off. The hotel needs a make over. It was a little dingy. They seem to have a shortage of towels and the electrical plugs in the room didn't work very well. I also didn't like the fact that they try and sneak a $10 safe fee on your bill regardless if you use it or not, but it was removed when I questioned it. Our room was not clean enough. There was mold growing in our fridge and bathroom. Bath tub was also broken but was not a big problem but I didn't appreciate paying the amount I did and the room have mold in it. there were dirty sheets in the closet. May have rushed them but bathroom and room was not clean. Bed linens were clean. Disorganized... My room wasn't ready. I don't recommend!! =\. The fitted bottom sheets were old and didn't stay on. The bedding was old. The whole unit was damp and a little smelly. The continental breakfast was dismal. I usually stay at Hilton or Marriott brands and the Travelodge was a bit of a shocker comparing to my normal hotels. The staff did not have very good customer service, but the hotel manager did try to make our stay better. Had to complain about the room we had, smoke detector was off of the wall, batteries dead in tv remote, dirty mirror, no clean towels given after first day house keeping came by, and the toilet in the room leaked water onto the floor. Roaches !!' Roaches !! Roaches !! Air didn't work , shower didn't work . It was in great need of repairs, they don't keep the pool clean, floor was wet in front of air conditioner, not sure from what. Complimentary breakfast was the worst. Only decaff coffee provided in rooms. Only about 23 channels to choose from on TV. Rude staff. Dirty room and bathroom. There was only one staff member working trying to take care of everything, our room want clean when we got to it...we had no shower curtain and the lady that was there could r do it all by herself. The maintenance was extremely poor. I would not choose this hotel again. The comforters, in a non- smoking room, had cigarette burns in them. The door to bathroom would not close and hinge was hanging off. The carpet had not been vacuumed. a section of the carpet by the bathroom door was ripped and frayed. The freezer was an ice block. there were only 2 outlets that pur phone chargers would fit in. There were holes from previous furniture or pictures that were not patched. The toilet had stool in it and the seat had dried urine spots on it. Room was never cleaned. Ice machine broken :(. Room smelled like wet moldy carpet. I had to buy air fresherner to tolerate the smell. The coffee pot still had old used coffee grinds. All Electrical outlets would not hold plugs in the socket. One outlet by sink was coming out of wall. Fire hazard at the least. Room service didn't clean our room until after we returned at 4:30 from touring Gulf Shores all day. We came back to a messy room. That wasn't impressive. Plus, we went to the breakfast area and it was pretty trashed out.... You need someone in there constantly picking up and wiping up spilled organge juice, milk, etc. And, you were out of coffee. Not impressed. We left without any complementary coffee or breakfast. Staff, safety. There were holes in the blankets. The box springs and mattresses were torn and worn. It was suppose to be a non smoking room but it smelled like it had been smoked in. The phone had most of the buttons missing. We won't stay there again. Shower didn't work, Stain on bed sheet bed 1,Bed 2 lumpy, carpet on floor torn,dirty; hole(wall) near bathroom door.AC Unit inside supported by wood blocks, ac outside cover off, Mold Bathroom ceiling corner, Dresser missing one handle, liquid stain on wall by mirror and big air gaps by bottom/side of door. Fire Extinguisher hallway overdue yearly inspection(Jan 2012). Pool was very dirty, room was grungy looking (paint/walls dirty, and toilet kept getting backed up which I took care of ) There was also no door seal on bottom of room door and we could see car lights shine into room when neighbor pulled in to parking spot. There was also no small refrigerator in room which I really needed. And I was charged a $10 resort fee?? For what a dirty feeling atmosphere??. Dirty, nasty. No elevator, seemed to have very poor maintenance. Outlets were so loose they were almost unusable. We had a coffee pot but no coffee. Linens smelled stale. Air conditioner was falling apart. The room smelled like mildew. The floor was nasty, my feet were BLACK! There was no garbage cans, no tissue. A/c barely worked. I was very very unhappy. The room has a terrible odor and we had to leave. They sent us to the Days Inn and there the tub drain was clogged and the tub was full of scum and hair!. Our room door was broken. We had to actually move rooms which was a huge inconvience. The phone in our room did not work and our fridge was dirty. water ran all night wouldn't shut off in tub. Dirty and smelled like a wet basement. My booking did not get transferred to the hotel. We had to stay in a smoking room with our young children. The floors turned our feet black. The mildew and smoking odor was terrible.
