My husband and I reserved a room here after packing and moving up to Nevada City. We were pleasantly surprised at the warm, friendly reception we and our dog received upon arrival. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom was quite nice, and the setting was lovely. We will definitely recommend the Golden Chain as a lovely, budget-friendly place to stay. The staff went out of their way to help and even specially shopped for strawberry yoghurt. We asked for extra stuff such as pillows and they were very obliging.
