First of all I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Corinne Koerner from letsbookhotel.com Customer Service Team. I had booked Hotel Lawrence in Dallas for 4 nights via letsbookhotel.com site starting from November 16 (it was a business trip for a scientific congress). However, my flight from Europe was delayed so that I had no possibility to arrive on November 16. I contacted the letsbookhotel.com Customer Service Team directly from the airport and Corinne Koerner promised me to call .
所有评语 » We were able to make reservations on-line, when our shower didn't drain fast enough, the staff was very good about correcting the problem so that we could stay in our corner room. My daughter loved the milk and cookies and the weather cooperated, so that we were not inconvienced to be at a separate building from our conference. Location to the west end was convenient and desk staff, housekeeping and the man that fixed our drain were are very accomodating. I enjoy older hotels and this one was very nice. It was clean and had modern conveniences. It also was very close to the convention center. the breakfast, especially the waffle-iron, the way the bed was made every day, the maids, the proximity to historic locations. Excellent place to stay to visit the JFK sites in Dallas. Our room had a view of book depository and grassy knoll. Location, shuttle service, value for price, staff, small but confortable and clean room. Good location; helpful but casual staff; renovated old buidling. The location was excellent, near where I needed to go. Cannot beat the location or the price, friendly staff. Cozy, heritage type atmosphere. The price is reasonable, because the Lawrence hotel is in Downtown, few minutes from Union station, and 5 minutes from Greyhound station. Breakfast was plentiful, receptionist let me use her PC when wifi was erratic, cookies and milk at 8pm nightly, handy for transport. Location to Convention Center was reasonable. Staff seemed nice but could not overcome the hotel's deficiencies. not much. Breakfast was ok. Our room was clean,but old. Not a $125.00 a nite room. Nothing, didn't even stay there two hrs. Not clean and need of a real remodel. It's just in downtown. The shower didn't drain as fast as the water came in. Early morning departing neighbors and St. Patrick's Day partiers were noisy, windows were dirty (but we took pictures out of them anyway). We found Founder's Grill to be overpriced, but convenient. I would have liked an extra blanket in the closet. I don't like to turn on the heating unless it is absolutely necessary and it was a bit chilly. The Internet broke down the last day also. the slow internet in the rooms. Junkfood in breakfast; a classical elevator and computer (in the lobby); a really no-frills hotel. They overcharged my credit card; had to be fixed. Only one elevator available for guests- takes long time to get it. Room smelt damp, windows didn't open, bathroom was grubby, there was a used towel underneath the bed when I arrived. So many things. The hotel needs a facelift. Restaurant was closed. Elevator creaky and slow. Lighting poor. Tv remote missing from room and replaced with one taped together. Shower flow was weak. Had to ask for soap. Asked them to call a cab and they arranged a private car that was $15 higher to the airport than a taxi. Need I say more!. feetness room have only twp machines wich are not functioning at all. The lobby was old and worn out. Needed everything . Had electric heater sitting aroung. It was even spooky. The pic on letsbookhotel.com didnt even start to compare to the ratty hotel. Our bathtub was completely stopped up. The shower was broken the first day and the second day we had to change the room and take a shower somewhere else.... I was lock out of my room because the door didn't work. The personal didn't do in effort to open it, they just gave me another room where a had to sleep without my things. They didn't even offer me a toothbrush! The next day, I lost my conference session waiting for they to open the door and they didn't do a discount for all of the inconvenient I had to bear! I won't recommended to anyone. They have recommendations that date from 2003!. Not clean. When I entered the hotel the staff was not polite at all. He said that my reservation is not in list and I should contact to Booking, which is really unexpected. Finally, he decided to check in. The room was really cold, after some try I found out how the heating system works, but it was trouble and very noisy.
