This is a large, high end resort primarily for conventions and conferences. The place is meticulously groomed and "white glove" maintained. There are rooms in a main building and in many separate smaller buildings, all neat and attractive.We stayed in a suite that was actually a suite, I.E., two rooms with a door between, not just a large L-shaped room. We looked at a regular room and it seemed just as clean and bright. The property is its own small island, with tennis courts and other sports f.
所有评语 » We had a suite in the lodge. It was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The entire facility was immaculate and the staff was extremely accommodating. There were many places to relax and many activities to get involved in. All in all, we had a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back. Great location. Good service. Love the new facilities around the water. Singer at the bar inside was excellent as was George the bartender. Food was good at all locations. Large comfortable rooms, beautiful scenery, excellent restaurant with great menu selections that are reasonably priced --- very relaxing atmosphere. The incredible view of Lake George. The ability to relax while having so many option for our kids and ourselves to do. Quaint town, beautiful views, and the grounds were lovely. Staff was pleasant. Excellent facilities and setting. Improved service vs last year. Beautiful Old Hotel. Beautiful area. Will be back. Beautiful And the rec is very great. Lake George setting. Bill the bartender at Caldwell'S. Spa service. Outdoor pool and staff. Poolside service was fantastic. The towels were very soft. Great shower. The food was good and the boat ride was good. I liked the location and main building. It's pricey, but luxurious. We were there pre-season, so the staff was mostly trainees who were slower and not as helpful as we would expect for a high end place. We suspect that problem will go away as they get trained. There were a lot of stairs to climb to get to the various pools, activities, etc., however, we did have access to elevators. I also would like to see more healthy meal choices. Having a drink with my wife at the bar at the water front. Bartender was very rude and told to leave at 5.30. Very abrupt no people skills. I was Sunday afternoon before Memorial days. There were a lot of Indian people staying 10 to a room. The one next to us used a mini van to fill one room. Seemed like there was no rules about how many people per room. Noisy and annoying. Delutes the charm of the resort. very expensive room rates. It was a bit pricey. It was a little pricey. I reserved a king suite and it was not ready at 4;30 pm so we had to settle for a 2 bed suite as we had dinner reservations and needed to clean up from a day on the lake. I paid $3,200 for 5 nights. We liked the room but did not see the $640 per day/night value for what we paid. Upom arrival our bed sheets were covered in body hair and had obviously not been changed, was promptly corrected but obviously should never have been the case. Beds not very comfortable. Noise from adjacent rooms. Lack of bedside outlets or charging station. Stayed in a villa that was too far away from the hotel. When I booked it I thought I was booking the actual hotel. The villa was small, sheets were scratchy, they forgot to clean our room one day. They never vacuumed the kitchen floor. The bathroom sink was small and there wasn't any place to store our toiletries. Way too many spiders around.... Not inside though. The carpet didn't look clean. Although the resort was nice it was not worth the expense at all!. toilet was rocking(not bolted down properly) bathroom in disrepair. At 650 per night this is the biggest ripoff I have ever seen. Please take them out of your system, yo ought to be ashamed to do this to people!!. Got sick from the food. Not enough staff, esp by pool. Waited too long for food/bev service. Check-in line took 30 minutes. Bell hop took 30 min to help w bags. Pricey.
