  We made an online reservation. The process was easy. Check in was easy and went smoothly when we gave the desk clerk our information. The entrance had a warm and clean feel. The room was a little muggy, not much. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient with waffles and fruit to start the day off. It has quite big pool, I was suprised as mostly hotels for this money don't have anything additional. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer, I would have loved to stay by that pool for one more day.   It's located next to some really good places to eat and the freeway. We've stayed here 4 times we liked it so much. There's a restaurant and sports bar located in the back with good food too.   I stay at the Vagabond every time I go to Bakersfield. The staff is friendly and remember me every time I come to town. The rooms are clean and housekeeping staff is very accomodating. Perfect location, easy access to food and freeway. Coffee maker, microwave oven and plastic cups in the room. Breakfast was the best among other California motels we've been to (though, it was faaaar from what I prefer to eat for breakfast).
