"Don't judge a book by its cover" applies to this motel. It's an old fashioned 2-story horseshoe motel with parking in the middle that doesn't impress you when you see it. Friendly staff, very clean, great beds, quiet, easy access to Metro station and access to DC, very reasonably priced, good coffee and coffee maker, Good free wifi in each room. refrigerator, modern bathroom with great shower. Doors had dead bolts and chains and the surrounding area was safe. Good breakfast cafe (Royal) and ba.
所有评语 » We checked in late and Kyle (I believe was his name) was very help and answered all of our questions about the area. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and spacious. It was a 5 to 10 minute walk to metro rails. Would stay there again. Old Alexandria looks like a great place to explore, but this trip did not give us the opportunity as were we committed already to other areas of the city for different events. The location was excellent. My girlfriend and I arrived by car, there was free parking available, the receptionist was very friendly and willing to help. The room was clean, equipped with quite a loud heater, but it worked. It is an excellent accommodation, especially if you want to visit Washington DC and you're looking for a reasonable price. It's a very good option for those who don't want to pay the expensive hotels in Washington. A short walk from the metro station and also close to King Street in Old Town Alexandria, a charming place with many options for dinner. The hotel is simple, but clean and confortable. The hotel was close to downtown Alexandria and a few blocks from the Metro, which we took daily to dc. The room had a fridge, was clean, and warm. We also felt the neighborhood was pretty safe and could leave our car parked there all day while we traveled into dc. The location was good; everything is very clean and functional and the owners, father and son (as we suppose) were both extremely cooperative . And there is a very good restaurant across the road for breakfast and dinner. Comfortable hotel in a safe part of a nice town close to D.C. It has all you need for a sleepover - nice bed, functional bathroom, huge parking, TV, extremely fast check in and check out. It is a good value for money. I really liked the location. it was easy to find in such a Big city as D.C. The staff and manager were extremely helpful and accomodating. Will definitely stay at the Towne motel again!. Stayed here for two reasons: the price, and its proximity to DC's Metro, which is a 10 minute walk. The rooms are fine, clean; the bathroom looks recently remodeled. An easy walk to King street. Dark color walls along with dim ceiling lights dark colored heavy bedspreads and curtains made the room dark and gloomy. Curtains could be opened during the day to brighten the room. Pillows were of poor quality. A renovation for the whole building wouldn't hurt. The tap was leaking. TV and air conditioning were old. The Keurig in the room was not clean. The room was pretty small, but we just needed a place to sleep. Dc was our goal. The decoration, but Ithis is probably a metter of taste. It may have been a little expensive for this type of motel but I suppose this is due to the proximity of Washington. Heater in the room is certainly not among the best - it completely dried the air inside. Room was quiet enough but still very close to the main street (queen room) so any passing ambulance was a bit of an annoyance. No complaints. This is an old motel that appears to have been competently remodeled not too long ago. There are a few quircks -- like steps that are not properly pitched and whose treads and risers are not standard. Would like to see a flat screen TV. They drilling the sidewalk outside but I suppose that couldn't be helped. Looked like you were doing an upgrade. It needs to brush up/paint the exterior, It lacks "curb appeal". The exterior of the building leaves something to be desired. street and airplane noise during rush hours. there was a coffee maker in room, but after making coffee my first night and the next morning, it was gone. Housekeeping did not bring any more for the rest of my stay. Also, they removed my soap daily so had to keep opening new bars. Wasteful!. Noise coming from room above but in the night. The old and make shift look. Hanging trouble lights for exterior lighting was very distasteful. TV controls. exterior of the hotel does not make a good impression. small bed pillows. None, good deal and location for the money you spend. Quite old motel with very old TVб low ceiling, etc. Bed was somewhat soft. Air conditioning was inconsistent. Towels inadequate. Noisy neighbors every night I was there, coffee was not replenished during my stay.
