The location was outstanding: right across from the beach. The pool had a wonderful set up with cabannas and two smaller pools which made it more intimate. The décor was modern and fun. The staff was very accommodating and knew us by name. I even got a text on my cell phone asking if we needed any help. There wasn't a wait for valet to bring the car up.

Very welcoming, and active, with a great design and great access to the beach. Rooms are large and comfortable. The hotel is in a walking distance to the most popular locations. The concierge are knowledgeable and can help you a lot to find what you need. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Staying at shangri la is probably the best so far. The necessities are well handled and customer service is just brilliant. Everything! My room, though not large, was beautifully appointed with a deck and a panoramic view of the beach and ocean. I could see past the Ferris Wheel at the Santa Monica Pier!
The room service was outstanding and breakfast at the gourmet restaurant was wonderful. Each staff member I met was warm, friendly and extremely professional. I would definitely return again and again!
