We stayed for one night and got engaged here! It was so romantic and perfect and incredibly cute that it just felt right. This B&B will always have a special place in our hearts and we will undoubtedly be coming back. Linda and Ian were extremely friend upon our arrival, showed us around and even gave us some freshly baked cookies. We stayed at the Lynton room - a true delight, with it's huge bathtub, balcony, and breathtaking view of the valley. The bed was really comfortable, the air was .

I normally do not write reviews but after staying at Fernside I was determined to write one. It was the best B&B we ever stayed in. It was ever so clean, recently renovated. The bed was so comfortable, the highest quality as if the hosts bought it for themselves. Linda and Ian were the perfect hosts, very thoughtful. Attention was given to every little detail. When we came back in the evening, our room was prepared for us for the night with the chocolates on side. The breakfast was to die f.
We had a wonderful stay. Ian andLinda are perfect hosts. Attention is paid to the smallest details and nothing is too much trouble. It was the ideal mix of luxury and relaxation, the rooms are beautiful but so is the garden and the surrounding area. The breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice and enough to feed the biggest appetite! I wouldn't hesitate about coming back and have already recommended a stay to several friends and family.
I would like to say that this bed & breakfast has thought of everything. The warm welcome to the locally sourced food produce..as well as there own fresh laid eggs. This is an absolute find in the countryside. They have an excellant high standard that they expect themselves and so this is exactly what the customer gets with such warmth and kindness.
I can't express how lovely this B&B is. We spent 2 days there as a couple and We could not fault it. Linda and Ian were lovely and welcoming, breakfast better than any 5 star hotel I've stayed at, and the room amazing. Just perfect. Thank you Linda and Ian, you made our weekend away very special. as soon as we arrived we were shown around and it was clear every little detail had been thought out the rooms were of the highest quality as was living room and breakfast room which brings me to the breakfast again every thing so well done and was hand made and cooked to everyone taste.
Hospitality, cleanliness, luxury bedroom with balcony, peace and quiet, wonderful breakfast with home baked bread, homemade jams and marmalade, baked fruits, home made yoghurt etc, fresh eggs, local bacon etc. A magical venue worth more than one night's stay so we will have to return.
Very warm welcome from our hosts. Superb, quiet location. Very comfortable rooms. Great , spacious bathroom. Delicious breakfast. Made to feel at home. Got the impression nothing would be too much for them. Good suggestion (and directions!) of local pub for supper.
This is an amazing B@B the standard of which is superb. It is off the beaten track and at night you can hear no disturbing noise. We could not fault the attention to detail. Ian and Linda are excellent hosts. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.
Deserved the high rating, beautifully decorated and comfortable accommodation, the breakfast was excellent lots of choices and both Ian and Linda were perfect hosts would recommend and will be our first choice to stay there again when we visit the area.
Fernside B&B is really fantastic - not only the premises, but the hosts as well. Little things make the difference such as the home grown and cooked food and little wraps of chocolate and biscuits in the bedroom.
A superb B&B with rooms that would out-class a country house hotel charging twice the price. Excellent breakfast, good local eateries, well-placed to break the dreadful journey to Cornwall. Strongly recommended.
