I was travelling solo on two business appointments in different locations and wanted to fit in a visit to Petworth House. Also required somewhere informal and non-corporate. Looking online the White Horse Sutton matched all these requirements and was very reasonably priced. Nick and his staff are friendly and welcoming and the food exceeded all expectations - delicious and beautifully presented. 所有评语 » We were the only guests but they were very welcoming and friendly. Even though it was quiet there was a lovely atmosphere. The bedrooms are all a good size with large bathrooms and interestingly decorated. The food and wine were good. They've managed the modern touch without ruining the original style of the place. The White Horse is perfect for a relaxing stay in a beautiful part of the countryside.The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with high quality beds ,bedding and furniture. We had dinner in the evening and it was delicious and good value. Breakfast was good.We would stay there again. We loved the picturesque, quiet countryside. It was an excellent location for our visit to Goodwood and the many surrounding tourist attractions. The owners were very helpful in finding us a local garage to resolve the car problems we had on our first day. Many thanks. Made very welcome, staff very friendly. Rooms individually beautifully decorated and a little bit quirky. Beds really comfy. Proper tea/coffee machine not just a kettle! Breakfast & Lunch excellent. Pub surrounded by beautiful countryside. The Inn is situated in a small village with absolute peace and quiet. The room was beautiful with the feeling you were staying in a luxury mansion. Be aware that there are no staff living on sight but there is an emergency mobile number for any out of hours problems. Nothing to dislike. There is nothing you could find to complain about. However should someone have a particular problem the staff and owners would bend over backwards to assist. No stand up shower only on taps , not good if your tall , very busy lunch time venue so parking a bit of issue, very minor points for a good stay. There is nothing you could possibly complain about. hand held shower.no toilet roll holder or shelf for bits and pieces in bathroom. Nothing. Access not possible until 6pm. no shower. No shower. We had to arrive by 4pm to get our keys, because the inn is closed on Sunday nights. It remained closed on Monday, so we couldn't get even a drink when we got back. We were completely alone there, as we were the only guests and the staff went home for the night, which was a bit scary. It wasn't possible to get breakfast before 8:30. There was no kettle in the room, only a pod coffee machine, which didn't work properly. Rubbish in room - empty bottle under cabinet. Random wire, plastic coat hangers in wardrobe. Really thin walls - could hear neighbours moving and snoring in their bed. A little remote and rather expensive. no shower, coffee maker.
