We were looking for a countryside hotel which was dog friendly, we came across the Exmoor Forest Inn, and we made our booking. This turned out to be an extremely good decision. Our dog was given the same consideration as us. We can highly recommend this hotel, the location is beautiful, the room was very comfortable, the food was divine, the staff very friendly and helpful. A most enjoyable stay and we would stay there again But next time my husband will bring his fishing rods as the hotel have. 所有 评语 »
We loved our stay here. The booking had been mixed up by letsbookhotel.com but the people at Exmoor Inn attended to this without any fuss. The rooms were amazingly comfortable and well presented. Loved the dining room and breakfast area and the food was great. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
The Exmoor Forest Inn is everything it says: in the middle of Exmoor National Park it is an Inn with great service. Friendly reception, good breakfast and beergarden. Good place to stay if you want to walk in the national park, visit Lynmouth of other places.
We loved the breakfast and the friendly service. The room decor was excellent - plenty of mirrors and plugs. Bathroom facilities also good and free wifi very useful when on the moor generally you cannot get phone signal!.
Peaceful relaxed atmosphere. Very good and extensive choice for breakfast and also menu for and food for evening meal. Very helpful staff and owners. Made to feel welcome. Stunning area.
Very pleasant owners/staff, good menu and wine list, dog-friendly, very comfortable and spacious, dog-friendly but not dog-dominated, in an very pretty location.
The room was lovely, good décor and very clean and fresh. Liked the toiletries and the bottled water. Food also excellent, especially the breakfast.
relaxed atmosphere ideal for walkers and dog owners overall good
experience ( two night stay ).
Freindly staff, large comfortsble room, good location, bar food that was available was nice.
The friendly and welcoming staff. The food - both dinner and breakfast - were excellent.
Very centrally located in Exmoor and an ideal place for walking in the National Park.
Large rooms with good facilities.
Excellent food in generous portions.
Nice staff, comfy beds, great room and bathroom, nice and cosy feel.
Beautiful settings, beautiful rooms and very comfortable
Good wifi.
Everything about it. I always stay there when I go to Exmoor.
Nice place to stop over-night while walking the MacMillan Way.
Pretty much everything.
Quibbles opposite were minor.
nice country pub and hotel.
Good home made food.
Good situation, friendly staff, excellent food.
I love everything about The Exmoor Forest Inn.
Friendly people, lovely location.
very friendly, nice and clean.
Everything!
Good staff!.
Location. Attitude.
Food.
We both liked the peace and quiet at this hotel. The Owner and his staff were great nothing was too much trouble.
Middle of Exmoor with pease and quiet with little to distract you but in easy reach of local town .
peaceful.
Nothing.
The room is a bit outdated, especially the bathroom. The door almost cannot be opened and closed, it's stuck in the wood. The shower is very small, although the waterpower is great.
This place looks a little run-down from the outside, so I almost did not book. But I was really pleased that I did!.
There were two problems in the room BUT they were dealt with VERY quickly and efficiently AS SOON AS we reported them.
Nothing.
bar area small and our
rooms were on second floor and very hot (but it was the hottest week of
the year ! ) on the other hand no dogs on this floor.
Reduced evening menu only bar menu available, no restaurant menu and no specials board as advertised. This was a special occasion and we would not have booked if told in advance.
Only slight issue is that we are not too keen on dogs being around us whilst we are eating.
This has been far more of a problem at other establishments we have visited.
Internet connection not working on second floor.
Could have done better on the dietary needs front and bar is still a work in progress.
Low water flow in basin taps
Dining area adjacent to Bar could get noisy.
Lack of mobile signal although the free wifi helped this.
Very little.
Nothing.
room too small.
The car park was a bit small at the height of the season I would imagine it could be a bit difficult to park.
Nothing.
no mobile signal.
