  Perfect location for walking in the Dales, especially if you want to completely forget about wind/rain etc once you're done trekking. Food was excellent, good drinks selection and by far the nicest place to eat or drink in Settle backed up with great staff! A wonderful surprise at great pri - The host was one of the most convivial. polite and helpful people I have ever come across in my travels. Nothing was too much trouble. The premises had recently been renovated and were clean, bright and tasteful. However the real showstopper was the food. I expected traditional Yorkshire stodgy fare, but what we were served beat the socks off an expensive French restaurant in Edinburgh we had been to a few nights ago. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and its restaurant.
